Still no build week!

Featured Replies

I sure do hope you are right but I doubt someone know ahead of time - but I have been wrong in the past. I wont hold my breath until the 190TDI is approved, then I guess they will start with the petrols.

    FINALLY.

  • You’re mostly correct, I just spoke with Skoda and it isn’t yet in the UK.   They did say that it’s not approved yet, but they have started shipping anyway in anticipation of approval.

  • I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.   Your first sentence reads to me that once the engine is WLTP approved, then that's the end of the process, it's ready for certification.

I think that current situation regarding the Kodiaq 1.5 TSI and WLTP is promising because there is a new price list (valid from 19.Oct.) on czech webside for Kodiaq and there is the 1.5 TSI with its average consumption/emissions defined with note that those values was mesured to meet WLTP standard so we'll see.

Out if curiosity, what figures did the website give for the consumption/emissions values for the 1.5tsi kodiaq

More precisely, there is this note on the price list :
"All engines listed in this pricelist meet the EU 6 emission limits. Gasoline engines are equipped with a GPF particulate filter. Diesel engines have a common-rail injection system and are equipped with a DPF particulate filter. Emission and consumption values for new cars are detected according to the new Worldwide Harmonized Light Duty Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP), and in accordance with valid legal regulations the values in this price list are defined according to the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) standard to which they are recalculated. Values according to WLTP can be obtained from your ŠKODA dealer on request. "

Dare I believe?

It's the 2litre 150 tdi sportline

That is great news for us with a Sportline in order, it means that the Sportline trim itself needs no other approval than the normal Kodiaq - unlike the Scout.

If they weigh what ever difference that matters then each needs WLTP tested and approved.

Just means carried out.

The Scout was one of the first to be passed, according to ADAC in Germany...

Yes I know.

What I meant was that I was waiting to see the Sportline trim on the list, but as the gentleman above said his car is on its way - which means (in my head) that the Sportline does not need further approval than the normal Kodiaq - unlike the Scout trim for some reason.

Non-native english here speaker so I do apologize if my writing is bad or confusing.

Ah, sorry, I understand now.

I wonder if the Scouts additional (unconfirmed) extra ride height (possibly affecting emissions) means it has it's own entry on the list?

That is a good thought actually, and maybe some extra weight due to the bad road package and extra protection beneath the car?

Info tonight on delivery times from Skoda UK Live Chat....miserable reading...

1.5TSI manual and DSG7 are WLTP approved according to Skoda Netherlands. New prices and emission values where released yesterday.

144 g / km or 147 g / km for manual gearbox (depending on which trim level).
136 g / km or 139 g / km for DSG7 (depending on which trim level).

4x4 or 4x2???

Only 4x2 (for now).

Wauw. Big difference. 1.5 with 5 seats: 16.4 km/l

1.5 with 7 seats 15.9 km/l

The Kodiaq 1.5 TSI 4x4 is not available yet Skoda will start to build it from end of this year.

I've heard that there is cca 100kg difference between the 5 seats and 7seats one so maybe that's why.

Yeah, ofcourse there is a weight difference, but did not expect it to impact the km/l that much. For the future the mrs mlohnork can take the bus.

Edit: haha, not 100kg, closer to 50. But still....

Well the difference will probably not be as big with the 2.0tsi i am waiting for.

The reason the testing takes so long is that anything that is likely to affect the emissions needs to be tested.

Including electrical load i.e. heated seats, heated windscreen, heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, heated rear screen, heated washer nozzles Zzzzzz....

So 100 kilo's of seats will definitely need to be tested.

Skoda's infinitely long options list can be great for consumer choice, but not so good for WLTP.

i noticed 2 new vw 1.5 TSi  have appeared on thsi list. It seems to be taking a very long time. We should open a new thread on when people think they will actually be delivered?
