Still no build week!

Featured Replies

Maybe some should suggest on Skoda Chat that Skoda UK put that out on a Skoda UK News Website, and to Skoda Official Dealerships and employees.

On someplace like this.

    FINALLY.

  • You’re mostly correct, I just spoke with Skoda and it isn’t yet in the UK.   They did say that it’s not approved yet, but they have started shipping anyway in anticipation of approval.

  • I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.   Your first sentence reads to me that once the engine is WLTP approved, then that's the end of the process, it's ready for certification.

Is that vehicles with no options?

As far as I know it’s for all 2.0 TSIs, options or not.

Its important to remember that different countries have different quotas of models, engines and options. A delayed car in one country doesn't mean that the exact same car will be delayed in another.

So Skoda chat have just confirmed to me that no one will receive a 2.0TSI before Week 8 2019! That’s assuming it has been built by then!

Arrggg it just gets worse and worse I have 2.0 TSI Sportline on order. Was built in week 39 and was told by exec office it will be here by the end of the year. They are ringing me each week with updates so I will ask about this!!

My dealer in Norway said they expected the 2.0 TSI to be tested around the end of the year and delivery in the following weeks. Still no guarantees of course.

I cant understand why a dealer would say this, I talked to Skoda Norway Official and they had no information what so ever about Kodiaq 2.0TSI yet - they had not heard anything, and this is not a dealer but the official Norwegian Skoda office.

All approved except 2.0 TSI now I believe. Mine has been “in transit” to exit port for 3 weeks now...

It is finally moving on. SEAT and SKODA cars finally start to show up in ADAC list as being tested, incl. 1.5TSI and the stronger 2.0TDI.

The 2.0TSI shall be tested by W48. I've got news from my (french) dealer that my 2.0TSI DSG L&K is expected to be in the dealership before Xmas! Fingers crossed :)

Any news about Skoda Kodiaq Style 1.5 TSI, 7 DSG, 4x4???

^^^
I've read somewhere that Skoda will start to make the Kodiaq 1.5 TSI 4x4 by end of this month so will see.

I spoke to the Skoda Executive Office today who confirmed what Skoda Chat said at the weekend. Timelines suggest the WLTP certificate for the 2.0 TSI will be early January 2019 with cars arriving at Dealers late Feb to early March. Skoda UK haven’t made a decision on goodwill gestures for the delay yet but my money is on a small cuddly toy!

Picking mine up on Friday, 2L diesel Edition DSG, I originally ordered a 1.5 Petrol, but was told that I wouldn’t get it March/April next year so I asked what they had in stock, got a good deal, so Friday the day, looking forward to it,

So a non-WLTP effected 180PS then?

I ordered a Kodiaq SE Technology 2.0 TDI 150 4x4 at the end of September and have a build week 47 any idea of time scale from build to dealer in the uk

Could you find and post where did you find it please??? PLEASE TRY TO FIND IT! It's very important... I'm one step before order canceling... Please try to find where did you read this...

^^^
It was mentioned by some guys on Czech-Slovak forum or FB , I think there was 2 of them they get the info from their dealers but I can not find it now so do not take it as 100% acurate as it was not a official statement of Skoda.
Btw your dealer should be able to tell you.

Btw what did you order?

"the dealer should be able to tell you."

A new slogan that Skoda can put on their adverts',  Simply Clever, should could and would if only they knew!

"Please manage customers delivery expectations."   or should that read

"Please massage your customers delivery expectations, string them along to ensure no canceled orders'."

It is strange that you was able to order it since it is not biuld yet i.e. there is not price defined for it too. So I think that there is something wrong with your order since you should not be able to do it. If I'd be you I would clarified it with your dealer probably there is some misunderstanding.
Btw although it would be build in the end of the month it does not have the WLTP yet and it'll take some time too so I do not expect it's delivery soon.

I think that for 4x4 it would be better to have engine with more torque i.e. 2.0 TDI or 2.0 TSI.

What are you talking about jaroT? The 1.5 is approved now but you could have ordered this engine for weeks by now.

^^^

Kodiaq 1.5 TSI with 4x4 si not build/available yet so it does not have the WLTP done yet. There is only the 1.5 TSI 2x4 version build/available for now.
If the 1.5 TSI 4x4 will be build/available then there need to be done WLTP for this particular configuration too.

Yes but it can be ordered, the prices are set.

The 1.5 4x4 will be approved very very soon.

I take it none of you are keeping an eye on the ADAC website as posted earlier?

https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abgas/modelle_mit_euro_6d_temp/default.aspx

The 1.5 TSI has been added in the last day or so, the engine has now gained it's WLTP certification for use in the Kodiaq...

Expect your pre-built 'banked' cars to be dragged out of their muddy Czech field any day now :D
