Short lead to run AA (or CP) in the car

Featured Replies

Took a lead (no pun) from Nemutai and got yet another short cable in USB A to USB C format to try in order to run AA in the car neatly. This one seems to do the job via the adaptor I already had.

Still a tight fit, mainly due to the phone (big Pixel 2 XL) but the cable is flexible enough to turn round in the drawer, and I can close the lid. AA works fine.

Went for the white on account of being an old git with not 20/20 eyesight, and marked red dots to get the locator bars the right way round.

Thanks Nemutai

That's it

From my first pic (actually another member's here)  you can see the locator bar in the socket in the car is at the top. So assuming you want the cable to go to the right, you'd use the adaptor marked "left" in your link. Although they come as a 2 pack.

My phone uses USB C, so once the cable is plugged in correctly in the adaptor, I don't have to worry about the orientation at the other end. That might be an issue with phones using micro USB sockets. can't speak to Apple stuff.
