What's the difference for ACC in other modes?

Eco mode is a bit gentler with its accelleration and braking compared to normal/sport (they are a bit jerky and quite last-minute in comparison)

I see, thanks!

When in Speed Camera areas surely the Speed Limiter is the tool to use?

ACC is for Cruising on Motorways keeping a steady distance. It works very well for this purpose,  using it in a 20mph zone? Bonkers.

Why, it holds the car to 1-2 mph of the set speed, even going down hill,  and you don't have to keep your foot on the accellerator.

Had a Fabia Monte Carlo with speed limiter but no cruise - what a PITA.  You have to press the pedal but not so hard you hit the override.

I assume I am always in speed camera areas.

Exactly what I said earlier. Why do some people simply ignore what is clearly a common sense and safe solution. Even Skoda tell you that ACC is "The ACC is designed primarily for use on motorways" so why complain when it scares you when its being used inappropriately.

Speed limiter is the one to use.

The only time I used ACC was in slow moving traffic on the M25 to give my right leg a rest.  Having experienced how it works I don't trust it enough for every day use.
