Adaptive lane guidance "Permanent"

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Can someone help me, i have a problem with adaptive lane guidance:

Each time when i start my car, I have to turn on "adaptive lane guidance"  on the Columbus menu.

It seems like, its not saving the settings on columbus.

I have activate the Lane assist with this VCDS code: https://www.ascoding.ch/en/activate-lane-assist/

Does someone has solution to set "adaptive lane guidance" permanent on?

Doesn't it make perfect sense that it would not be on permanently?  Until you get to roads with well-marked lanes it's pretty useless.

Do you want it on when you pull out of your drive each morning and head to the main road?

Hi @skodasuperb2018. How long have you had your car? If it is very new it may just be that you need to keep setting it manually a few times. There are some functions that the car seems to need reminding that you want enabled all the time. After a few times it will remember and enable them automatically. Another potential issue is if you are swapping key-fobs. I think it remembers what the particular key-fob user wanted last time and reverts to that. So if you do swap keys around it may take longer to make all of them remember to keep ALG enabled.

@Jaycar mine is permanently enabled and works just fine in your scenario. As you say it doesn't actually kick in until it sees the lines so no harm done in it being on all the time. I would find it a pain to have to choose it before I set off each time.

Yes i want to permanent on for adaptive lane guidance, because Lane assist is permanently on and if you want to use lane assist without the adapative lane guidance its useless..

@BriskodaJeff My car is from November 2016. I have now activated lane assist for a week and eacht time iam activating the "adaptive lane guidance". When i turn off my car the box for adaptive lane guidance is immediately checked-out. So i think it will not solved with trying couple of time so he can remember it...

Maybe it has to do with activating the Lane assist with this VCDS code: https://www.ascoding.ch/en/activate-lane-assist/

Another solution?

That might be the issue. I seem to remember there was a thread a while ago from someone who had the same problem. Try searching either on this forum or in the VCDS section. Sorry I can't help - mine was standard from the factory, not coded with VCDS.

If you have activated Lane assist with a VCDS.  Do you then have to activate the Lane assist camera so it will recognise that lane assist has been activated, or something along those lines
