Karoq SE 1.5 Drive DSG Black Magic

 

As roof rail and window trim come in black as standard I decided to match grill surround. 

Used black gloss wrap.

This photo was taken on a recent trip to the west coast of Scotland. 
71 plate Skoda Karoq Sport Line 1.5 TSI DSG in metallic Race Blue.

 

This is mine taken a couple weeks ago at the entrance of Cairngorm Mountain Resort, the snow just started to appear at the top. An absolute brilliant car to have and I love every second of driving it.

Absolutely!

Not just the Karoq but Kamiq I had prior to, as well.

 

On our last trip to Scotland we stopped off at the Beinn Eighe car park near Torridon, hoping to see the local celebrity - Callum the Stag.
He was there and was very happy to pose for photographs, and he took quite a liking to the Karoq.

Here she is after an 8 month wait. Just had her Ceramic coated. 1.5 DSG Sportline

i had this idea just the other day as i messed around with paint to get rid of the badges at the back and put an old style round black one in their place just like this, would be good if you had a full image of the car say on an angle or something to fully show how it would look, looks good to me

Well my 16th Skoda is a Karoq. 

 

Picked it up a couple of weeks ago in the rain and today the first chance to give it a proper clean.

Sadly, Callum the Stage is no more. He was put to sleep last week following concerns over his failing health. Visitors has been feeding him the wrong foods which caused him to loose his teeth, left him unable to forage and he was suffering from abdominal distention. Callum was about 20 years old which is quite an age for a deer but his health problems were too numerous to over come.

Stunning.  Does it look solid coloured close up, or is there sparkle as in metallic? 

This is mine today. Close up it looks very sparkly, but not so much from a distance. Still the best orange car colour, compared to other makes.

Got fed up with being offered “50

Shades of grey”. “The greys are very poplar - we sell a lot of them” said the salesman. They only had one orange and five greys on offer, so statistically correct!🙄

Tired of years of boring Yawn Grey/ Boring Silver/Show every mark Black/Had its day White.

Times have changed, time for a little colour in our lives.

Doesnt show the dirt.

Never lost in a car-park.

Orange is definitely a 'marmite' colour, like yellow. 

 

Agree with Choclab on '50 shades of grey' but grey and white are popular colours, hence lots available.  Neither a colour I would willing choose mind you. The 'slate Grey / Business Grey' (I forget what it is actually called) would be the 'least worse' option if I had to pick one. The 'Metor Grey ' just looks like an undercoat and they forgot to add a proper colour before the colour left the factory.

Grey IS popular I agree. It used to be a good, safe "resale" colour for 2nd hand, PCP etc.  My previous Karoq was Business Grey, and it was almost like two colours in one - in certain light in looked silver, 

other times a solid grey. I was going to order White in 2018 but when I saw this colour grey in the flesh, I managed to change the colour.

 

Our other Skoda is a Candy White Fabia, which had some sort of treatment on it in 2015 when we bought it nearly new. And it never shows the dirt! Amazing, and not what I expected for white. But white cars seem do have been around for decades....

I've bought 16 cars from that dealership, I know Steve and Lala very well.  I was talking colours  a few months ago. In the bigger models black and grey are still by far the biggest sellers for them. 

And like you say that's visible on the forecourt.
