At first sight nothing major, just the foglight access panel was popped out. Nothing looked wrong, popped right back in. Next day in daylight however...

Little bits of plastic fell out...then I checked the center grille...yep...cracked...

At least you get to eat the culprit.

Chucked a bucket of water over it. Three hours later this is the result.         Happy with that

I hard wired in my dash-cam, and then realised how crappy the glove box closure mechanism is.

Doing 99% of the driving I didn't realise the left hand side doesn't close properly most of the times unless you give it a good kick.

It seems there are 2 problems, 1/ the latch gets stuck and 2/ the aperture where the latch locates is round (surely this should have a flat front edge to locate the plunger?)

Did anyone else resolve this (I see it mentioned quite a lot on other skoda forums) apart from replacing the entire glove box?

Very snazzy Alan. Difficult to do?

nope, easy enough - this video  shows the process well.

I got the version that , as well as indicating, does some cool blue led animation when the puddle lights come on also

I took delivery of my MY19 Skoda Superb Sportline (206kw 4x4) in July last year with under 5,000km on the clock and with no evidence of any service history in its previous life as a Skoda corporate vehicle. This car is a long term keeper for me and I intend to look after and modify it to suit my wants and needs, so I had my preferred specialist perform an oil/filter change.

I hit 15,000km last week and took it in for its first (and likely only) dealer service, so that I could establish a relationship in case of any warranty issues in the future. I asked which oil they use and the answer was Skoda oil... this didn't reassure me so after some discussion they agreed I could supply my choice of oil (Liqui Moly Top Tec 4200 Engine Oil 5W30) as long as it complied with their approval and specs, which it does.

Now that I have the car back from the dealer I have replaced the OEM air filter with an aFE Magnum FLOW Pro 5R Air Filter and fitted the DTE Pedalbox that I got recently. The Pedalbox is great in immediately eliminating the throttle lag and improving pedal response, very happy with this and an easy fit thanks to the tips from others on here who have fitted one previously.

Remaining on my to do list is deciding on: a front/rear dash cam setup, improving the air flow from airbox to turbo, a cat back exhaust upgrade and how long I can wait until I upgrade to a Stage 1 tune.

Interesting, I'm assuming this throws no errors?

So did you buy the blue/yellow ones?

yes, see link in my post, blue function is cool.

As part of preparing my car for a virtual cockpit retrofit, today I upgraded the canbus gateway module (module 19) from 5q0 907 530AM to 3Q0 907 530AC.

This is not an operation for the faint of heart in terms of coding/programming. If you get it wrong, bricking your car is more than possible here..

I got the module used off a VW for £39 on ebay.

I paid eur20 for 1hr access to an odis online account from vaglogins.com, as component protection removal is needed as part of the process.

Remove drivers knee airbag, remove drivers footwell air duct, swap gateway module

I used the guided function in Odis-s to go through all the flashing, parameterization, coding, cp removal, restoring features, etc etc.

After a message came up on my dash a new battery went into my key fob yesterday. This is the 2nd battery that has gone into this particular remote during my ownership. The spare has not had one yet as it's never been used. For safety both keys live in a RFI proof tin in the house when not being used.

I have also recently fitted a K&N engine air filter & replaced the pollen filter.

Had the pleasure of doing another camera on @JBD1974’s lovely Superb which is another one that is almost my cars twin!!

I will be doing the same in a few weeks hopefully

Then the alloys are being changed to veeman fs66 I think, then lowered in a few months

I'd love a little more poke but from a previous bad and expensive engine experience with a bmw I won't be mapping again

A pleasure meeting you @SashaGrace and I'll echo the comments of others  - thanks for a very professional  job of installing the camera, the bonus coding tweaks and tea.

If you're thinking of installing a reversing camera etc I can't recommend her enough!

That’s awesome!! I’ll let you know when the virtual pedal parts start arriving 😅

A bit small, but it's only an A4 printer!

Virtual pedal, hmmm.....

Retrofitted MIB2.5 high (columbus) to replace mib2, retrofitted virtual cockpit. Havent got the maps coming through over MOST from mib2.5 to the VC yet, must be some coding I missed. Getting working geko/fazit/odis live accounts with cp removal enabled to do this kind of retrofitting yourself is the hardest bit, but got there in the end. You can have a bad day when you start getting these blue screens haha, but got it all sorted

it's a quick vid I made after fitting mine, I've not got any money yet, nor do I really expect some random aliexpress chinese seller to send me money.. :D

I was aware of the lack of visual confirmation from inside the vehicle, but not enough of an issue for me to make me wait in the hope of a better one can't find anyone making that 'perfect' version yet.

here you can see the blue animation when you open the car. Can't decide whether it's cool or naff

product

I'm going with cool!

Replacing BCM module, retrofitting 5q0937084DD (upgrade from CG) , and losing skin in the process
