Hi my electric window on my fabia passengers door has stopped working when you press the switch to open or close the window it makes a funny noise but nothing happens have taken the door panel off but the door has a sealed unit so you are unable to see the mechanism any ideas how to resolve this would be welcome.

Depending on what year your car is, the door ancillaries panel is bolted, or from around 2003 they started using pop rivets which must be drilled out.
