Wonder how much the digital instrumentation is going to cost. Would very much like that on my next car!

The configurator quotes £450 for the virtual cockpit on the Karoq would think Kodiaq will be the same when the changes eventually filter through.

Told £450 for the sportline and edition models, £550 for other models (think because sportline and edition come with the colour Maxi Dot as standard)

I ordered it on my Style in Norway for €425. They didn't have any demo Kodiqas with it on, but I tested it on a Superb. Definitely looks better and you can put something more useful than revs on there.

I had a Citroen with a fully digital display - it's great... until it goes wrong and you end up with a blank screen while trying to drive in an unfamiliar city and no speedo to keep you legal. It did have one "useful" feature - you could actually display your own pictures as a backdrop for the dials. When first messing with it, I created a passable resemblance to the LCARS displays in Star Trek, but my favourite picture was the one I installed before handing back the car which basically said "This car is a ****ing piece of ****" in between the dials. Suffice to say my experience with Citroen wasn't good... it spent more time in the dealer than in my possession.

Ordered for £375 on my edition

When did you order? My UK dealer is saying that the digital dash is not available yet in their configurator and I need to phone back in a couple of weeks to see if it's available on the sportline.

Also the dash is included on the vrs I wonder if it would be more cost effective jsyt to order a vrs instead.

I have ordered ma Kodiaq the 15 January. In July, I have modified my car to ad the digital cockpit. My car was built the last week of August. But still, I wait for the WLTP homologation.

Out of interest what model and year was it?

C4 Grand Picasso, bought new February 2014. Had loads of problems with the electrics right from the outset, so I rejected the car and Citroen agreed to replace it with an entirely new one. I finally received the replacement in September 2014... which had most of the same problems. I rejected again, but this time Citroen wouldn't play ball. It went on to spend five months in the dealership before Citroen sent specialists over to see it and eventually declared there was nothing wrong with the car. It literally failed as I drove it off the forecourt, much to the "amusement" of the dealer who ended up with it back immediately. I eventually won my case with the Ombudsman and received some compensation, which paid a decent the deposit on my Superb in October 2015, but little else to show for 18 months of hell overall. I had to drive multiple courtesy cars and a long term rental car... one of which also broke down.

I'll never deal with Citroen again. And Swansway Group are a bunch of crooks too - literally couldn't give a toss about my case after they sold me the car, always fobbing me off with Citroen. Eventually the dealer refused to handle my case, which is why I ended up at the Ombudsman. Even that took months as when the Ombudsman initially ruled against PSA Finance, they refused to comply, delaying it even longer.

This was estimated between 500-600€ including tax (430€ without tax) in Finland. Because of the impact of WLTP we do not have the exact price yet. Got one for my Sportline which I ordered on week 36 or 37. Build week should be nr. 45 :)

I consider myself lucky though, because I was able to get one of the cars that the importer had ordered in August before the WLTP-thingy was official so it will be treated according the old way but I still could change all the equipment and color to it.

Regarding the virtual cockpit for Kodiaq - in the Czech website there is the new price list already (valid from 19.Oct.) and the virtual cockpit costs cca 350 Eur including the tax but this can differ in other countries.
Btw the price of the virtual cockpit is the same as it is for Karoq.

Had Virtual Cockpit on my 2017 Audi TT Roadster - now have a Kodiaq Editions 2.0 TSI with ‘standard’ dials. I have to say that I much prefer the standard dials as everything that should be digitally displayed (SatNav, Radio, Telephone etc. etc.) is clearly displayed in the dashboard central screen ( see attached).

I believe that a driver can be exposed to information overkill and whilst there is no doubt that the Virtual Cockpit is very pretty and draws many admiring looks I found it quite distracting and I found myself admiring it rather than concentrating on the road ahead.

Provided that a vehicle has a solid central display, as the Kodiaq definitely has, I would personally save my money and drive more safely and chose the standard dials.
