Just wondering whether it is possible to recode key that has already been used for another car? Have found a key with the same serial number on the eBay.

Do let us know how you get on if you proceed

You can usually program the remote unlocking to work with your car yourself.

You could fit a blank blade & get it cut to the same code as your current keys at most key cutting shops.

 

However, the immobilizer is separate to the central locking & needs to be programmed by an official garage.
