2004 Superb Elegance 2.8 V6 Auto - with full house except satnav (use Garmin).

Bought new in Esher, moved to Eastern Cape, South Africa early 2007 with the Superb. Dealer in Esher changed instruments to metric. No Skoda agents in S Africa.

Large VW Agent in Port Elizabeth, not far from VWSA factory, took on servicing and got it on their computer. Great service. Fabulous car, but none too happy on some of the rougher roads in this country. After blowing out 3 Continental tires on potholes, switched to tougher SA tires with no noticeable loss of road holding and, so far, no more blow outs in last 18 months.

Car still attracts quite a bit of attention here.

Colour: Sahara Beige (this gold colour is practical in dusty conditions).

Done 45,000 km (say 27,000 miles).

Cross country runs uses under 10 litres/100k (approx 29/30 mpg in old measures) at cruising national limit of 120km/h (74mph) - this drops to only 7.5l/100k if I keep speed (sometimes essential or enforced) down to 100km/h (62mph).

I really like the overtaking power of this car.
