American Media Group pull the strings in F1 now not Bernie. What they want is what they will get. More races stateside.;)

Indeed the newly "agreed in principle" circuit is a in a parking lot, & b barely in Miami, it's so far North it's pretty much in Hollywood.

RENAULT excluded from Japanese GP results due to using illegal driver aids - namely pre-programmed variable brake bias. They lose the 9 points for both cars.

Places 6 to 10 now go to LEC, GAS, PER, STR & KYV.

Strengthens McLarens grip on 4th place a little too.

Sounds like a form of ABS. Surprised the stewards were able to pick that up.

Variable brake bias is fine, most drivers manually change it several times around an average lap. It only becomes illegal when the process is automated. Somehow, Racing Point had inside info about how Renault were doing it and successfully protested them.

The disqualification of the Renault team, means that LeClerc doesn't loose any point/position due to the time penalty. So effective no punishment for a Ferrari driver.

So one cheating team getting tossed out should mean other rule breakers get even more penalties? I expect they should penalise Honda for not abiding by the 3 engine rule too. Williams are going to get a load of points at this rate 😄

Verstappen demoted to 4th place on the grid for not lifting when passing a yellow flag for the Bottas crash.

LOL! He only got summoned to the stewards after admitting at the pole press conference "I didn't slow down". Almost dead cert for a Ferrari/RedBull crash at Turn 1 this afternoon.

Smug bugger thought he would get away with it as both his laps were faster, He said to the press " if they want to delete the lap, then delete the lap" He thought his first lap would still get him pole. Oops!

Favoring Vettel again. Lewis 1st, Vettel 2nd and Bottas 3rd. Lewis will win the title if Bottas does not win the next race.;)

??

If they'd pitted Vettel the lap after Hamilton the Ferrari would have retained track position and won it for sure. Crappy tactics by both sides of the Ferrari garage.

Even if Bottas wins the last 3 races, Hamilton needs only one 8th place.

Max 67 laps on the hard tyres. One stop clearly the right tactic.

It has a stamp on it. Return to Mercedes if found, thanks Toto.:tongueout:

It does seem that way. Mercedes have never been that strong tactically and now it appears that its rubbed off onto Ferrari. I think their big problem is they appear to be favouring Vettel over Leclerc and making poor decisions during the race. Their drivers aren't seeing eye to eye and that won't help either.

Hamilton 74 points ahead with three races to go, so barring any disasters in Austin Hamilton should pick up the trophy next race.

Austin one of Lewis's favourite circuits. 1st in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 3rd last year.

All he needs to do is leave Austin with a 52 point lead.
