Where is my missing key (third key issue)

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone, first post...be gentle...

I took delivery of a brand new Karoq Sportline on 1/3/19.  The literature for the vehicle states, Drive Mode Personalisaton Selection with 3 Keys.  I was surprised when the car was handed over with only two keys, as my previous vehicle, a 2017 Superb Sportline had this feature and we loved it as my wife and I have different driving positions/climate set ups etc.

Dealer is confused as I am but have given the corporate line “specification subject to change etc”.

Spoken to Skoda Customer Services UK.  They informed me my vehicle should have the personalisation selection.  Walked through system on my own and with dealer and nonpersonalisation.

Complaint has been escalated with a Skoda UK.

Anyone any ideas? Similar issues? Advice appreciated! Thanks in advance...

On the Edition its an option for the personalisation (£30 or £40) - so could be same on the Sportline - check again on the configurator.

Thanks for the reply.  Showing as standard in literature.  I’ll have a look at the configuration online.  My car was built January of this year looking at the VIN.

As you can see the third key and personalisation is not an option nor included on Sportline

The standard 2 keys remember the setting - but does not link with the Infotainment personalisation and only 2 keys..

Your sounding like the dealer lol

This is from the latest update on the specs brochure, April 2019.  When I purchased my car, the previous spec brochure was in issue.  It was contrary to this...see by nightmare?

It’s also showing the light package as an additional extra, it was standard on my car.

Cant help on that one - but that is in the Spec and pricing for Feb 2019... so assume 2019 MY... but can not help further...

Does your 2 keys link to the personalisation on Infotainment?

Excerpt from Feb 2019 Brochure.

No link between keys and infotainment system.

My guess its something the dealer could code and supply a third key.... whether they will is a different story.... as specifications are subject to change...

I’m hoping so, they said they’ve encountered this several times already this year with Škoda.  Each time they have supplied a key and provided a software fix.  My software is up to date and still not showing.  Hopefully some coding fix will sort.  It seems like it’s kore of a case of who covers the cost.  I’ll let you how I get on.  Thanks again for the help.
