photo update. its a chunk, plenty cabin space, but the boot isnt any roomier than an octavia, different shape, so volume pretty close i think, but i reckon octy still has it (mk2 at least..)

headlights are good and bright, but do have that fuzzy blue light edge of the beam pattern on dims that i see on and annoys me with other cars.

full leather seats are comfortable, and the back up camera assistant is pretty good -

not sure where the cameras are for the above right screen trickery, presumably somewhere along roof rails?

dash display is alright

and its an auto.. that keeps changing its mind about what gear to be in at most of the local speed limits

only 5000 odd km on it, so hard to tell how well stuck together it all is, but feels solid, other than some previous renter managed to break a clip off one of the parcel shelf string mounts, so that side keeps falling out and hanging weird.and said parcel shelf looks abit warped.

i must ask the BIL how the bev ine is going, just havnt been able to talk to him much lately

Hunting between gears at or about speed limits is the single thing I've normally hated most about slush boxes.

@mac11irlIs it a 1l or 1.5 petrol auto?

It will not be a 'slushbox' if a dual clutch box just like a DSG, which can behave badly between 1st and 2nd which has people selecting 'S' to mean it holds the rpm higher and maybe stay in 1st when crawling or in 2nd without going up to 3rd.

I have never ever had a Torque Converter Automatic that hunted between gears. What is usually referred to as a slushbox.

no not a slushbox, i dont think. feels very similar to whats in missus macs arona. and i just checked the reg docs and its a 1l, which just isnt enough for a vehicle that size, imo...

Wasn't expecting a mini review...   Thanks.   Sounds like a pretty decent bit of kit for the money.

Autos annoy me for that reason too but the 1.5 might be better?

well, @@Lee skirted the closest with his comment...

i am currently driving ....

a 20 plate ****roën C3 Aircross.

6speed manual - just as terrible a gearbox as every other french car/van ive ever driven.

and ill be telling them the wheels need balancing when i drop it back, theres a definite steering vibration at motorway speed, not terrible, but present.

lane departure beeps near constantly on narrow scottish b roads, so thats getting turned off today, didnt get to look around for the setting last night.

overall, i dint like it so far!
