Amundesen+ defaulting to radio on startup

Featured Replies

My Amundsen+ in my MK2 Fabia VRS is defaulting to radio when I turn it on, despite it being in nav or media when I turn it off before switching off the engine. Anyone else has this issue and been able to resolve it? I don't want the radio selected when I turn on the unit. Thanks

i think mine defaults to the SD card, have you tried doing a system reset?

Thanks for the reply, I haven't tried that yet but will give that a go.

I did a system reset to default settings and it seems to have worked. Interestingly German language came up as default. I'll test it again later when driving the car. Cheers

Yes, I bought the car last week. It came with this and a few other extras (cruise, heated seats, rear parking sensors). I may upgrade to a 510 if it can be fitted and retain bluetooth, gps etc.

@Rustynuts is the man for the 510 upgrades

Mines defaults onto the last thing I used before switching it off apart from Blueooth mode.

It can be upgraded, its plug and play, just done mine as wanted bigger screen and DAB......Columbus is a very nice unit, not as "user friendly" menu wise as the 315 in my opinion, but def worth the upgrade. Absolute 80's always playing now

If you upgrade to a Columbus you'll probably lose Bluetooth which is likely built into the Amundsen Plus.

Defaulting to German is probable as that's the first language for these

Cheers for the advice all, noticed yesterday the unit remains don the nav page on restart but again audio was trying to pick up radio as opposed to remaining in media which was my last selection before turning it off...

Yes "if" the Amundsen + had bluetooth to start with, I have the seperate bluetooth ECU, so all works as it was.

It is def a lottery as to which 315's have bluetooth and which dont, the only real way to tell is read the mac address off the label, if its all 0000's as mine was then no bluetooth in there.

Plenty of VW bluetooth ECU's on ebay, I have a spare as well.
