Got some more bits on order which should be here soonish.

been getting a fault code for egr not working, tried cleaning the egr valve on it but made no difference. So got a egr control valve and a new egr valve and gasket coming. Going to delete the a/c and renew the tensioners on the front end, accessory belt etc. As I’m getting a loud whine off a/c compressor. Be good to free up some space to start making the engine abit more clean

Changed fuel filter as I thought I picked up some crap fuel, see how she goes, k &n do one that fits which is handy to know as it’s avalable off the shelf. Also got some pics of the exhaust really pleased for the price.

And going on a dyno tomorrow see if she’s lost any of the 160bhp from factory :)

Not a bad result 148bhp so a little lost over the last 30years, was good to get a baseline for future mods, sounded good though :)

Bit of an update, had a couple of new rear tyres on as the old ones were cracking up from age on the sidewalls.

started to fit the mountain of bits I’ve had stocked up. Removed a/c  so I fit a new intake I brought. then Started with the headers, went on surprisingly well. Changed both engine mounts while I was there and good job too as the both were shot,

also got some new plugs.

time to clean and paint rocket covers soon, and tidy up all the wiring etc on top of engine

Been on my todo list for a while. Master cylinder change as I had a few small bits of rubber floating in there and a spongy pedal. Now changed, bench bled then a full system bleed including freeing off all the nipples. Certainly not been done for a while.
