Long job prepping the bed, this didn’t really need to be done for the rubberised paint but I wanted it perfect, it’s been previously painted too so had a couple of layers to get through.

just needs a good clean/degrease tomorrow and the paint can go on. Looking forward to the outcome

And replaced the bodged dust cap hub nut cover that was a bottle cap lol 

And done, turned out really well about 16hours in total

That looks ace 👍

Started with roller and brush but wasn’t happy with how it was going so brought a cheap electric spray gun and went over it with that a few times, managed to save it 😀

Also got my big delivery from the states, fitted the front carpet set, new weather strip on outside of door, still got a set of new shocks and both mirrors to change 

Looks like that passenger side wiper needs adjusting as well??  ;-)

Cant say I’ve noticed it, and I normally notice everything lol might just be the angle of the pic

All back together with lock box fitted, I’ve put some rubber strips under it too so it’s not straight metal metal, and some close ups it’s not looking bad at all

Done 150 miles this weekend and it’s been solid, have a pic.

Going to my first show in it at the weekend so need to get the rest of my bits fitted before weekend

Another job ticked off list tonight, rear output seal on gearbox changed as it was weeping, yoke was quite rusty on surface so cleaned it up with a caramel wheel to make it smooth as possible. The size of the prop haha

 

 

Locking fuel cap fitted, and got the new shocks out ready to fit Tomorrow, also got both mirrors to fit and going to sound deaden the doors 

Shocks changed such an easy job   Less then 40mins for all four including driving her on ramps,

werent in too bad condition excluding the rust and knackered bushes, and the oddly sized newish Bilstein rear, compared to the other. It’s going to be a massive improvement 

Good days work today ready for her first show tomorrow. New mirrors fitted, front doors sound deadened as there was literally just a paper sheet in there lol.

Back bumper flatted back and sprayed as it had some surface rust

Some of the bumper after, I used left over bed liner paint on the step I think it turned out alright

Indeed mate funny enough I’m in the states in October and going Florida as one of the stops so I can get one that’s true to where it’s from  , normally loads in the souvenir shops

The bed paint in the bumper looks really good, nice and "off-roady" rather than polished metal

 Cheers dude, it is a step too so helps having a texture to it
