 Nice one, I've just grabbed a 322GW for £79.20

The suction mount on my 312GW kept dropping off the screen in my old Golf so I've been putting off installing it in the Octavia.

I've just got round to unboxing this and used it on the way to work this morning powered from the cigarette lighter socket by the handbrake. Each time the car's stop/start kicked in, the dashcam powered off/on - even though that socket is permanently live. I fully charged it last night so it's onboard battery should have covered any brief voltage drop whilst the engine fired up.

Not sure if it's faulty or just needs a longer charge and hard wiring. I'm doing a 2 hour trip tomorrow, so hopefully that'll sort it out, if not it's going back. 😩

I have the Nextbase duo, front and rear camera. Never wired it into a spare fuse in any car, but it plugs into a dual socket I fitted into the car from the single socket. I did it this way so that I c

So many 'herberts' out on the road, it's worth having one.

I have the Blackvue 650S-2CH dash cams and when I come to a stand in the car the cameras continue to record but if I'm stood for a couple of minutes they go into parking mode, once I set off again they start recording in normal mode again.

It might be something along those lines, when the car is stationary the dash cams wont detect movement therefor they are turning themselves off. It could be just a settings thing

My dad's kept doing that when he first installed it as he'd not fully charged it before sticking it into the car. Fully charging it with it plugged into the computer sorted the issue out.

Just picked up the Nextbase 612Gw half price from Halfords. Serious piece of kit. So I put my older Mio dashcam on the rear. Thankfully the Hyundai Ioniq has switched 12 volt sockets so installation was a breeze.

Mine seems to have sorted itself out after a decent charge so I've hardwired it and it's all nice and neat.

The glovebox was pretty straight forward following the advice on here but what a proper ball-ache getting the a pillar trim back on.

Also the new nextbase cams are very particular about SD card standards. The Sandisk one from my old cam kept locking it up, but a class 10 U3 100 MB/s Samsung seems to keep it happy.

Still waiting for someone to confirm they handed over their footage when they caused the accident. Approx 50% of the time? Hypocrisy?

You might be waiting for some time.

Mine's just for capturing clips of people transporting ladders on mopeds, and the like.
