Complete Electrics Failure - Octavia 2010

Featured Replies

Hello All,

In March of this year, someone decided to drive into the back of my Skoda Octavia MK2 this had now been repaired I had issues with the reversing sensors taken back twice since the repairs have been done I am having real issues with the car, on an intermittent basis (and luckily this has not happened when I am driving) when pulled up after a journey or before a journey all the electrics just cut out, no power at all. No display on the dashboard, central locking won't work even with the key.  It resets the clock and mileage trip, it's like the battery has been disconnected but it has not.  After leaving the car for a while it comes back to life as if nothing has happened.

My dealer has had the car and they were convinced it was the E Control Box (Skoda UK also logged in and confirmed this) sadly this new box has not worked had another cut-out issue yesterday. The dealer has had similar problems before with accident damaged cars.

The battery & alternator have been checked and no issues.

Has anyone else had a similar issue on here?

With Thanks,

Stephen
