Rare as rocking horse poop Octy vRS

Featured Replies

must be desperate to sell knocking 4 grand off like that!

:llol: :llol: :llol:

Warning: thread drift...

Speaking of PC Plod's Octavias, I saw Mr Plod in a silver Octavia trying to navigate the hell that passes for a road network in Newport the other day. He wasn't making much progress, even with blues and twos going.

Newport is such a wonderful place to drive :(

I'll try to pop down there the weekend for a poke around, not far from where I live. See if they want to swap if for a not so limted edition silver RS :scrambles

Subaru dealers have been caught out like this too!

Trying to big up a standard car just because it has a Prodrive sticker on the boot :D

Steve

I agree with all of the replies above,

Rip-Off or what ???

I think I am qualified (or just allowed :flame: ) to comment on the fact that Skoda UK were a little "Optimistic" with the 19K price tag.

I am a little concerned for my car at present as I have entrusted the Octy to SWMBO as I am in Chicago for the week for a Sales Meeting :usa:

She keeps ringing me & saying how fast it is & how she keeps passing everything on the Motorway !!!

I am logging the dates so I can refute any speeding tickets !!!

The weather here is just s*1t. Not cold but I have never seen Thunderstorms like it !! Most of the area is flooded. There are more severe weather warnings for the next 24-48 hours, with Tornados to the south of us

See Y'all next week

Graham

Good Morning Graham, your complaining about the cold, I am complaining about the heat.

The give away with the salesmans statement was the fact he said it was "one of the 100 shipped across". Only around 25-38 right hand drive vRS WRC were made.

Just as a matter of interest and for future reference, all vRS WRC's have a tag on the dash informing the owner of which number of the 100 made, he owns. Did this one???

One in Chicago, one in the middle of the Indian Ocean - you WRC owners lead a glamourous and international lifestyle! :D

- you WRC owners lead a glamourous and international lifestyle!
Which is more than you can say for their cars which must feel neglected and unloved. :(

i'm glad i mentioned the car now, i did entertain the idea of getting it, but did tell him in the end that i REALLY wanted a silver one and that the "exclusivity" of this one in white wouldnt matter by the time i came to sell it on (which wouldnt be for at least 5 years)...

He did say that they did alot of orders for Staffordshire Police so after whats been said i guess thats what this one was, until some n00b put a tick in the sunroof box on the order form.

Whether or not he was feeding me the bull on the owner front as well i dont know but he said the MD of the dealers had the car as the 1st registered owner

Answer to the tag on the dash Q, no it didnt, not unless it had fell off and they'd popped it in the ashtray !

The price was

Car not being neglected, my 61 year old mother is running back and forwards to the shops daily, it is in good hands, that is until I get home, Tossa De Mar road looking good again.

I have an unliveried white WRC (the other one of 2?)

It has full Rally edition spec, with the Xenons, headlamp washers, heated seats, etc... it goes not have green bumpers or green rear door handles (the only non-decal bits on the Rally car)

Indeed we did.

T'was i who reported that car' date=' i saw it in Middlesbrough. I'm more sure than ever that i wasnt seeing things now :D[/quote']

There is a white VRS with silver alloys in Cornwall too.

So what's the number of the beast?

Or has this one already been declared ? ;)

This was the demonstrator - I drove it before I bought the RED vRS., Yes it was driven by one of the managers but I was not told it had anything special when I was offered a choice of the Brand New one or the 'demonstrator'.

Its currently on the forecourt for sale now.

It's got to have a number or your not in the "gang"

Rather surprisingly, there is still one of these liveried 'WRC' versions unsold, unregistered and sitting in a Skoda UK dealer's stock.

So how much would they take for it John?

Quite fancy a change myself and reckon a vRS in white unlivereied would be a good bet to tonk down the motorway in and annoy other speeding motorists - especially with Xenons on!

Paul..

Paul, check PM.

97/100... and its currently for sale as I'm looking at a V6 Super B
