Less paint = less weight = more speeeeeeeeed

Looks like it could be longer...VW say the factory isn't accepting orders yet - hopefully 1st September they say, WTF, it's on the website and they'll take orders?

Ah well, it should be worth it.

Oh, and Moonstone Grey is the only colour available.

Might arrive just before Xmas if Santa gets his big arse into the sleigh.:whew:

Or the VW WTF Just passed me wagon.:DLooks mean for a VW in Skoda shipwreak Grey. Mr Penguin and Mr Goldfinger will be jealous.:whew:

I won't lie....it's one of the few cars I've seen recently that make me feel a little green eyed; very few have managed that, such is the appreciation I have for HMS Sportline.

Again, it reminds me exactly of the scenario wherein I was looking at what car to get next and I stumbled across the Superb in Sportline spec, it made me seriously consider a car I wouldn't have otherwise bought.  I think the colour suits the Passat perfectly and I"m sure the pics won't do it justice.

EDIT: I'm seriously considering a remap, you might have to wait to pass the Czechy on the right hand side.

You have 8bhp less to begin with a cat stuffed up the exhaust they call a GPF.:tongueout:

Meh those new fangled WLTP units don't map as well 😉

(they probably do now that tuners have had more time to develop their maps)

We looked at the Passat recently, I love the front its nasty in a good way! Problem was it seems to be approximately 49.2 ft wide and it would have suffered death by a million bramble scratches dodging tractors down these Cornish lanes!

We got this in the end, loving it so far! Its gets along pretty well!

That would go for millions here!

Did a quick check on Autotrader and just under 1,700 Passats for sale, 1,600 were diesel, just 84 petrol and 10 were GTE's. Just over 50% were estates and 33% were automatics.

Great looking car OP btw.

@pist0nbr0ke Great choice of car. I hope you don’t have to wait for too long!

Oh, and Battleship Grey is a winner! 👍

When it gets a run on a rolling road it will be interesting to see what it makes compared to my 2017 Black 245.:tongueout:

All I can say from my needs is it's a pity the Stinger Estate doesn't exist.

The Stinger is a hatch and the boot is pretty big - it’s similar in floor size to the Octy estate, but it is shallower. The back seats fold flat too, so there is huge space for tip runs etc if you need it.

99/100 times it will be big enough for me and the family.

On the 100th time it’ll be roofbox time!

Great car and,as you say,not short of room...BUT I need a car to be dog friendly with a low rear sill so said dog can jump in easily.

Hence,for now anyway,the Octy estate.

Pity...like it or not dogs/and/or/kids dictate our choice of cars!

FTFY 😁

A 3.3 V6 Turbo 4wd hatch (as available in other countries) would do though...

...although RWD is a lot of fun.

Totally agree. But for the UK, RWD is probably fine for 360 days out of 365.

And the traction is still epic!

365 out of 365 if you fit winters. :)

Note I said when and not if. GPF may have lost some power but will see in about 6 months.:blush
