Mk3 Octavia vrs exhaust upgrade

Featured Replies

Looking to replace the OEM exhaust on my MK3 octavia vrs.

What are your suggestions? The stock exhaust just sounds so quiet, my car is at stage 1 so feel it will compliment it nicely. Also should I go down the route of resonated or non-resonated???

I just put a res delete on my 245 and its been brilliant for the 25k miles I've ran it

Does this make the car drone?

I think you have to be careful about what you buy, mine doesnt drone at all

Probably worthwhile trawling the forum, as this question gets asked a lot:

I think it's best to make sure you have your requirements in order re:

* £££ willing to spend

* Noise-only, or noise + actual power gains

* How long you'll have the car / if it'll affect warranty (ownership or leased)

As in my post above, I've got a turbo-back (+ downpipe) resonated Scorpion exhaust which I love. Wasn't cheap, but extremely high quality and can't fault it. The non-resonated setup I had installed at first was ridiculously droney and ruined the enjoyment of driving the car (mine is also Stage 1).

The replacement centre silencer (resonated) makes it a dream to live with, low or high mileage journeys, and the sound is excellent! Can't recommend enough, but as I say, decide on the price you're willing to part with.
