Can anyone recommend which bulb to use in the front fogs to best match dips? Ideally halogen but LED would do.

They're H16 bulbs, but like I did, you're able to butcher a h8 bulb to fit. I got mine from a UK seller on Ebay and they worked great. Unfortunately, that seller has disappeared 😞

 

I raised the front of the car, took the under tray off and went in that way. You need double jointed wrists to go from the front.

 

If you swap them to LED, you need to recode with VCDS or something similar. It'll throw an error otherwise.

Much of a job for the H8 I actually have a set at home. Did I read somewhere it's 4 2 per side?

No, it's just a case of trimming the mounting points with a pair of snips.

 

And yes, 2 bulbs a side on the VRS.

Perfect! Appreciate that will give it a go much easier getting my hands on H8 bulbs 

Both types seem to be available for about the same prices on amazon.

Recently bought some of these. Reading threads on the subject H11's were said to be a direct fit and they were when I fitted mine.
