Check your PMs

Hello, please, its posible some new firmware for this. Thank you

Is there also something like release notes? So I can check what to expect?

Hi @pab567, I tried to message you but not sure my messaging is working as I can't create one for some reason. I had previously updated my firmware with your help but wondering if this is now still up to date? Reason I ask is I have installed a couple of non standard mods (rear camera which didn't work and activated carplay) and now have an intermittent fault with cruise control sometimes not working so was looking to go back to stock fw. If no newer version exists is there any way to force an update with the same version as the car won't do it via the normal process as it's the same fw. Here is what I have

I'm also looking for this update MST2_eu_SK_ZR_P0480T since the skoda zr folder on mibsolution.one is empty.

And this is the most recent version for your unit. I don't expect it is the reason of your problems unless the mods you made are somehow buggy.

Hi all again

I have this infotainment system. It happens that it reboots and the screen is hot. Is there an update i can make.

And i used a phone app and a plug to Connect the car to the phone, but it will be discontinued. Is there a Skoda app on Apple car play but if i click it it crashes. Is there someting new?

Hi,

Have a 19 Plate VRs, looking to update the Amunsden SW.

Device part number: 5Q0035874C

Hardware: H41

Software: 0475

Is this the latest or is there a newer version? If so, where do I get it from?

Having issues with Android Auto not connecting, saying it could not connect to the car, but when using the wifes phone connects no issue, both Android 15 devices

Hope you can help

Thanks in advance

Thanks. I am just assuming it is as its intermittent. Could be something else I guess but nothing showing up on an obd11 scan.

On a separate point, can I replace my screen with the larger one 5E0919605N

Hi @pab567, I have a Škoda Octavia with device part number 5Q0035874C, hardware H41, and software version 0472. Could you please provide the firmware update to version 0480 or the newest one? IMG_20250604_173908.jpg

@Strebord

Hello, I can update your device to a higher version 0480 and activate Apple CarPlay.

@KR15PY

I can also update your device to a higher version 0480 and activate the performance monitor.

This version will change all infotainment graphics to color and include a tiled menu. Navigation will work better, with better touch response and a faster and more stable system.

So now you have Bolero MIB1, with Bluetooth, with DAB, part number 5E0035842A, with USB 5Q0035726B and fortunately you don't have CANTON sound system.

You can install one of four different OEM glove box units:

- MIB2 Bolero

- MIB2 Amundsen

- MIB2 Columbus

- MIB2.5 Columbus

You also need to replace display unit:

- for MIB2 Bolero you can use either 6.5" model number 5E0919605H or 8" model number 5E0919605N

- for MIB2 Amundsen and MIB2 Columbus you can use listed above display as well as 6.5" model number 5E0919605J, 8" model number 5E0919606, 8" model number 5E0919605M

- for MIB2.5 Columbus the only display unit that works is 5E0919606D

If you woulkd like to use Apple CarPlay then you also have to replace USB port.

The question is what is your budget and which of listed below features are "must have":

- Video playback from DVD, USB, SD

- CD playback

- OEM navigation

- displaying OEM maps in Virtual Cluster (Active Info Display).

All units support SmartLink (Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink), rear view camera, voice command. features that differ them:

- MIB2 Bolero - no OEM navigation, no CD/DVD drive, no video playback from SD/USB

- MIB2 Amundsen - OEM navigation, no CD/DVD drive, no video playback from SD/USB, support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster)

- MIB2 Columbus - OEM navigation, CD/DVD drive, video playback from SD/USB, no support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster)

- MIB2.5 Columbus - OEM navigation, CD/DVD drive, video playback from SD/USB, support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster)

I can also update your device to a higher version 0480 and activate the performance monitor.

To be clear: every unit running SW version 02xx, 03xx, 04xx, despite 5Q0035819y and 5Q0035820y (y - letter A, B or C) can be upgraded to 0480. However, to have it done unit must be patched. In case of Amundsen units this can be done from SD card (e.g. with MIB STD2 Toolbox) however in case of Bolero units (without OEM sat nav) it can NOT be done from SD - unit must be open to amend files in EMMC directly.

No, you are already on the most recent firmware.

All others check your PMs.

The recommended way to make the firmware upgrade:

1. format SD (best max 32GB) under FAT32

2. unpack to root (metainfo2.txt and all the folders must be placed directly on SD, not in any folder)

3. insert SD card into the slot

4. enter Service Menu (long press MENU button)

How long does this normally take, what are the recommend procedures, as it says it can take upto 60 minutes to complete.
Does this not impact the battery? Would connecting it to a charger help?

Usually it takes 10-20 minutes, can be done with ignition off.
