The firmware upgrade is also possible without Toolbox and developer menu.

As a note and addition, the left and right channels will be swapped in the 0480 update.

Just simply straight away? From 0253 version?

No,

5 step Update solution with the SD Card. But No ToolBox and No Diagnostic Tool you need

Here's the solution. As already mentioned, the audio signal is reversed left and right. This is due to the HW 02.

I need to pass 1-4 steps and do from 5th, with original 0480?

@Cairus

No, this has nothing to do with the instructions from my colleague. Only I can open this zip folder with the password via remote access. I copy the contents to the SD card as needed and then delete everything again.

Thanks, but I would like to do by myself 😉

Then good luck.

@asterixas I sent you link to zipped MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T in PM, no password required to unzip.

@asterixasIch habe Ihnen per PM einen Link zur gezippten Datei MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T geschickt; zum Entpacken ist kein Passwort erforderlich.

This wasn't about the image, though. It was about files used to make firmware jumps without Toolbox or developer mode.

Going from 02xx or 03xx to 04xx without patching the unit first is NOT possible.

I say, you dont need ToolBox and the Green Menü.

It seems you've reached your limit. I never said I wouldn't patch it. But it can be done differently.

Of course it can be done differently, you don't have to use MIB STD2 Toolbox (I don't use it at all) - but it MUST be patched to go from 02xx or 03xx to 04xx, and for most of people, who are not familiar with QNX and software reverse engineering, MIB STD2 Toolbox is a great solution.

I Dont use qnx

This solution is only SD Card Update's

Easy for everybody.

No ToolBox, No obd Tool, only SD Card

I suggest you two take this discussion offline, it doesn't help those less skilled than yourselves to read this debate.

Hello,

I just bought a 2018 Skoda Octavia L&K.

I checked the MIB2 software and it is version 468. From what I read on this topic, my model should have version 480 as the latest update.

The situation is this: Android Auto works since I bought the car. It disconnected twice, but it works. Apple CarPlay does not work (I tested with a friend’s iPhone and the screen shows that the function must be activated at a Skoda dealership) but this does not affect me because I do not use an iPhone. I mention this because, according to the forum, the Installed SW Train Version field is blank. It is possible that the previous owner hacked the unit and activated only Android Auto.

My question is.. If I update the system to version 480, will Android Auto still work?

Thank you in advance!

Hi there,

can anybody tell me, if it's possible to downgrade the firmware on an Amundsen Mib2?

If have done an upgrade and replaced the touchscreen. Everything works fine except

the clock on the display seems to be stuck on 0:00 and the DAB radio reception is worse than before the update.

Actual the MST2_EU_SK_PQ_P0359T is installed

I want to go back to MST2_EU_SK_PQ_P353T

Can anybody please sent me the firmware.

Thanks Nemain

You use the New Firmware without Bug?
