Featured Replies

Hi.

I've just acquired an used Skoda Octavia Combi DSG 1.6.

This is a screenshot of system information.

I've just updated maps, but it seems that the firmware is not the latest version.

Can you send me please the link of the latest firmware version for my model?

Thanks very much.

@pab567 can do this!

Hi, I have posted elsewhere on the forum (Amundsen Infotainment system not responding) but starting to despair, so maybe there is some solace here...

2016 Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI - and having all sorts of screen issues  - as if the screen is constantly being pressed.  Things happening randomly.  Have no control over anything on the screen.

Link to the "issue": https://photos.app.goo.gl/mc2Tzj1ZM4WW9o5f8

I believe it is an Amundsen II

image.thumb.png.19babad9ce1e07d03e03f1240a82308f.png

And here are the unit details:

image.png.a0e5fe0336492d07fa49f2dfbc356804.png

So, will a "software update"(?) fix this issue?

Is this something I can do myself?

If so...how!?  I barely have any control over the unit!

If it isn't a software or update issue, what could it be?

At the moment I need to take it to my Skoda main dealer for them to

Charge me £135 just to look

Then potentially £1-200 for a software update!

plus £22/day for courtesy car

..and it may not even fix the issue!!

Help...

Thank you!!

Hi, I'd like to join the club for an upgrade if possible please!

Installed SW train version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0245T

Installed SW MU version: 0245

Part Number: 5Q0035874A

SW: H25.14.78_STD2Nav_EU

Is there a change log(s) to see what was fixed? does this affect the 'activation' of mirrorlink/android auto?

Thanks

Hello

I have a Skoda Octavia 3 with SW Train version MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0353T

SW MU Version: 0353

Part Number: 5Q00358648

I was wondering if there is any newer Firmware version that I can install for my car, it would be highly appreciated.

I will appreciate your feedback

Thank you

Razvan

Hi @pab567 could you help with some pointers to a newer firmware version? Hoping it will fix a few stability issues with my Octy VRS Amundsen.

These screens are dust magnets, shame the firmware can't fix that :-)

Cheers

Hi Pab567$

MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0478T is suitable for Scout 5Q0035874B  HW H30 SW 0359 also?

Thanx,

Officially - not, however it can be done but requires unit to be hacked and specially modified MST2_EU-SK-ZRP0478T to be used.

Ji pab567

Is it worth the hassle?  I saw the HU is need to be unmounted, solder the mmc card to an ftdi232 controller...  so it is not easy :)

Thank You

Everybody has to answer by himself / herself. Features are the same, just HMI (UI) is more "modern"

Pls help me update.

Thx !

That is quite a different problem. This is a failure of the Capacitive Screen that is used on unit. You need a new screen unless there is a TPI associated with that problem.

Hi @pab567 I've been trying to find out if there is an update for my seat mib2 std (non high) unit, and the local dealership has been messing me around. Do you know if I am able to update my firmware?

Device part no. 5QA035858B

Hardware. H41

Software. 0468

Nav. 6P0

Thank you!

@pab567 could you please check if there is any update to my unit?

By the way, is there any solution for Android Auto connected by cable that keeps disconnecting? Obviously I've tried many cables. Carplay is working fine for my Wife's Iphone. I have Samsung S8.

Hi pab567,

I have 2014 Octavia with Canton. Is there any sw or fw update on my system?

Hi pab567,

you do a great work for Skoda community ... so I will benefit from it ;-)

My system:

Amundsen Gen2/MIB2 (Yeti 2016)

Part number: 5L0035680E

Hardware: H30

Software: 0353

Is there any new firmware available?

Is it possible to activate SmartLink and/or SmartGate?

Thanks a lot !!!!

... additional question:

normally MIB2 need an 16GB SD card for for navigation data, latest update (VW side) is V13 (2021).

now there are several offers to get a 32GB SD card with save or new (V14) card updates - do you know anythink about this topic?

Are these offers fakes or do Skoda offers now 32GB SD cards for Amundsen MIB2 for actual and future updates?

Thanks.

You could check if there are particles between the bezel and the screen. That could give strange effects.

Hi there, community!

Is there a chance for this model to get updated to the latest version?

Here's the info for easy reach:

DEVICE PART NUMBER: 3V0035043B

HARDWARE: H50

SOFTWARE: 0318

Keep up the amazing work! All best!

IMG_2985.jpeg

May I ask for a firmware update for my Amundsen unit?

Thanks
