FNS door lock failure

Featured Replies

Hi All,

new here but wondering if anyone can help.

Have a 2016 Superb combi 2.0 TDI 4x4 L&K.

Have a little problem with the lock on the front near side door lock, whilst driving into work could here the lock servos clicking as it tried to lock the doors as I was driving but was unable to. On arrival at work realised that even when locked with the key fob with passengers door would remain unlocked and the alarm would activate if it was opened. All other doors and tailgate remained locked.

Had a look at the lock mechanism and gave it a wiggle to see if it was jammed or free moving. That was a mistake, as the lock is now locked with the door in the open position. No amount of locking/ unlocking with handle, fob or button will unlock it. So I now have a car that is not driving as the door cannot be closed. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas that may assist. Obviously with the latest Covidence 19 lockdown there are no technicians or Skoda garages available here around Heathrow area, so it’s a little testing with a young family( not that we are travelling anywhere right now)Any help greatly appreciated.
