00287 Abs sensor fault

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New here

I've got a Fabia VRS mk1 2005 plate and i've had a problem for the last couple of months and it's driving me crazy 😒😣

I've had the code 00287 for the rear right Abs sensor.

Changed the sensor twice and hub with the ring and still no difference.

Looked at the wiring and seems to be okay?

Feel like giving up with this thing now 😣

Any ideas on where to look next before I go mad 😣

TIA

Have you checked the wiring where it joins the main cabin loom under the plastic trim below the right rear door?

Door carrier leaks can corrode the wire splices here.

I haven't

I will check this tomorrow

Thank you mate much appreciated.

It’ll be your ABS pump, quite common on VAG cars.

My wife’s 62 plate Citigo did the same, ended up chasing the fault around various ABS sensors but still came back. Refitted all original sensors and got the pump sorted.

wasnt until I googled VAG ABS faults that it became apparent 👍

Worth checking what Wino says but think it could be the old ABS Pump gremlins 😩
