How to get mirrorlink/android auto working on mib1?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a Skoda Octavia 3 2013 with a mib1 media player.
I've updated the software to 0490 version but the mirrorlink option doesn't show up.
I've heard that if I change the usb port to a mirrorlink compatible one then the mirrorlink will be available.

Can someone confirm that?

If it is possible, please send me which usb port should I order to make android auto available.

Thanks!

You can’t do this, you need a MIB2. There is no way to activate Android Auto or MirrorLink on a MIB1. Only some cars such as the Fabia 3 got MirrorLink on the MIB1 but the FeC activation isn’t covered much as it’s better to throw in a MIB2 once CP and features are reworked.
