Current Boss of Skoda Leaving

Featured Replies

It has been announced that the current Boss of Skoda will leave his post in the next couple of weeks and it appears he may have been pushed due to his success in charge by building new Skoda's as well as Volkswagens built in Germany for far less and ruffling a few feathers in Wolfburg HQ. This follows SEAT losing their Boss to Renault recently and they are currently leaderless in Barcelona because a successor has not yet been found. With VW Group in massive debt it a worrying time for fans of the different product ranges and redundancies will be announced and blamed on Covid-19.

That's a real acceleration of the business.

Several companies seem to be taking advantage of this COVID19 "crisis" to implement redundancies or changes to employee T&Cs.

However it seems odd to make any major business change that is not guaranteed to save/make money at this time, even if he does make the more upmarket part of the business look like they're underperforming.

I'd speculate there's more (or a very different story) to this than is being reported.

If I frame the reported narrative bluntly as "This guy's doubled sales! Let's get rid of him!", it sounds ridiculous.
