Hi Andy - about 12 weeks in all then -.seems about what they are saying. I did think the factory shut down in August though!

I was told 12 weeks for a 1.5TSI DSG. That was ordered last week.

I did ask a couple of times if that was still  valid. Assured that it was.

We shall see!

update; just checked the order paperwork and it has 'Committed handover date 28/11/21' which is a bit more than 12 weeks but at least it's this year!

I've heard it's around 3 weeks, depending on which port it lands in and whereabouts in the UK you live.

I ordered my Sportline 2.0TSI with a customised build on 2nd June, and was told handover would be mid-September.

When the MY21 spec was released, I updated my order on the 21st July with changed options.

The order was confirmed by Skoda UK on the 30th July, but no build date announced yet. Given that it takes about three weeks to get a car from the factory to the dealers, I'm now expecting handover at the end of September at the earliest 😞

Just had confirmation that my build week will be week 42 (w/c October 12th), so handover for me early November??

I ordered an SE Technology 1.0TSI in energy blue with optional heated seats and spare wheel on Monday 24th August.  Was told by my dealer 7 weeks, which is also the lead time for the Karoq as listed on the Car Wow website.

That seems optimistic, especially to get over to NI, as my build date is further away than that. Although it can depend on engine supplies and options.

Certainly seems a short wait for a new build- be interested to hear the final proposed delivery date.

Who knows, I don't actually need the car until January as my curre t car is a lease that ends on the 4th of January. I do know that the factory is working at full capacity now.

How do you know they are at full capacity?

According to Wikipedia, European Karoqs are built at Kvasiny and Mlada Boleslav (and for a time at least also at Osnabruck). Production in 2019 was around 150,000 vehicles (say 3,000 per week). But the cars have to be allocated to Skoda distributors in each European country, and then to each dealer within that country, so the orders have to be managed  so as not to favour any particular market or dealer. Although I have seen users of some of the other European Karoq forums (fora??) complaining bitterly about the time they have to wait for their new cars! So perhaps UK buyers don't do too badly :)

My Dealer (Rainsworth Skoka) called me today to tell me mine is 'Status 20' with a build week of next week. I only ordered in two weeks ago.

Expected delivery would be 3rd of 4th week in October. So around 8 weeks from order.

Could still all go horribly wrong of course but I'm very happy with those dates.

That's for a 1.5 TSI DSG SE-L. Options; towbar, leather, virtual cockpit and speed warning.

I've now been told by the dealer my Edition will be build week 38 - with a suggested delivery of third week in October.

Did the dealer contact you? I was just expecting updates from Skoda UK rather than the dealer

The email I got from Skoda UK said:

"And just so you know, we'll keep you up-to-date with the progress of your car. So please keep a look out for any future emails from us."

I spoke to the dealer as all I had received from Skoda was that they had received my order. Be interesting to see when Skoda actually contact me again about the build. But good to know it's in progress - dealer also confirmed it's an MY21 build.

So which ships are Skoda using now:)
