So I could have sworn the SportLine I had in a few weeks ago had a radio splash screen that said SportLine. That car was a 2017 with MIB2 Columbus. Not sure if this only affects the cars with Amundsen but apparently there are people out there who have SportLine Superb’s and the radio splash screen just has the normal ‘Welcome to Skoda’ screen like the late 2018 (MY19) car I had in yesterday.

So if this affects you, coding is 5F Byte 18 and you change the value from 8 to 13 in text mode, reset the radio and boom! SportLine splash screen. You’re welcome 😁

And 30 colour lighting with pre coding for RGB footwell lighting which is a retrofit that is coming soon!!

Hi Sasha, unfortunately on my superb sportline my17 with amundsen the obdeleven pro gives me error message in long encoding, I'll try again later in the morning.

Where can I find long coding for 30 colour lighting?

  • Unfortunately type 13 is not an option with Carista but I tried the others: Type none - welcome to Skoda (default on mine) Type 1 - vRS Type 2 - scout Type 3 - Laurin & klement

  • Yeah it is,   Go to 36 Drivers seat Long Coding and activate ‘Easy entry over MMI’ and then 5F Infotainment Adaptations in Car_Function_Adaptaions_Gen 2 and activate menu_display_drivers_sea

  • Got invited to beta test Carista again today after sending a debug log yesterday and they have added option 8 for the infotainment startup logo. just tried it and I now have the sportline startup

What BCM firmware do you have? Last MY17 I had in was on 0236 which is too old, you need 0242 or newer and if you have that, I can provide the coding.

Every firmware are radio will be different, perhaps only the MIB2.5’s have the SportLine splash screen in the firmware?

RGB foot lighting you say... Would that be retrofittable to a MK3 Octavia?

edit:

Seems so...

Quote

The footwell lights are using same LIN like the doors do. It's the LIN5 in connector C on Pin29 of the facelifted BCM (Golf 7.5, Leon FL, Octavia FL...)

You have to replace the current connector of your footwell lights to the new 4 Pin connector and add the new wire for the LIN-Bus to Pin 3. ame procedure for the RGB footwell lights in the back. If everything is connected, start coding the new RGB lights and activate the new adresses of them: It's RGB LIN-User #14 and must be activated as "undefined14".

Things you need / Partslist'

Wires: 0,35mm² for LIN + MQS crimps

Front LEDs
1x 8W0947415A
1x 8W0947415B

Back LEDs
1x 8W0947415C
1x 8W0947415D

Connectors
4x 8K0973754A

Pin-out:
1: +
2: LIN
3: LIN (possible to use as output to right LED)
4: GND

Notice: it does not work on non facelifted MQBs or midline BCMs.
(otherwise replace BCM and retrofit a MIB2 with latest firmware)

Thats the radio firmware, not BCM. But it’s an MY18 onward radio so you should be good. If in 09 adaptations you can find ambient light list 1 and 2 then you can do it. Pm me and I’ll send you my colour list.

Yeah if you have a 084DD or CG BCM then you can do it :D

I have:

Address 09: Cent. Elect. (J519) Labels:. 5Q0-937-08X-V2.clb
   Part No SW: 5Q0 937 084 CQ HW: 5Q0 937 084 CG
   Component: BCM MQBAB H H36 0253

So if CG was a typo or being between CG and DD is suitable, I may have a chance.

Must stop planning retrofits, only had the car two days :D

CQ is probably the software part number, the physical part number is CG but either way if it’s a 084 it’s doable. 086 ones aren’t.

You have the exact same file I have, 084CG 0253. Coding has taken, just waiting on the hardware.

I hadn't even noticed the SW and HW versions were different, noob moment ;)

When keying those in a helper is useful, and be careful to save properly otherwise you have to start again. Guess how I know.

@SashaGrace thank you a lot

but first i have to fix a problem i surely caused with coding by OBDeleven.

I unlocked the off road informations (compass) but now the image of the car with the distances of the park pilot has disappeared from the maxi dot.

Think I disabled Optical Park System...

someone could help me?

thank you

Also tried the instrument cluster start logo:

Type 1 - Skoda (default on mine)

Type 2 - vRS

Type 3 - Laurin & Klement

Type 4 - Scout

Type 5 - blank

Type 6 - sportline

Type 7 - Skoda

Type 8 - blank

I managed to change my cluster startup today using OBDeleven under long coding -> Start screen. It was default "Version 1" and changing to "Version 7" gave me the Sportline one

That would be cool for the vRS owners out there, pity they never made a vRS superb but then I like my 280 4x4 much more than my old mk1 vRS octy :giggle: .

the only thing missing for me is the fact the instrument cluster shows the sportline logo on every startup but the infotainment only shows the logo on a hard reset and just goes straight to playing music on mine or am I missing a simple option like “splash screen every time” somewhere?

This reminds me of Pheaton I used to own.
Such a cool feature, would love it operational on my Superb.

If you have electric seats it's a quick and simple job to activate via VCDS/OBDeleven.

Just to update on my previous comments regarding the infotainment not showing the logo it appears to be random some days it does show the nice sportline logo and other days it goes straight to playback, no idea why but at least it works so I’m very happy with this little mod. Thanks to SashaGrace for creating the thread as I may not have investigated it had I not known the option was available with a quick email to Carista (just a pity it’s only beta at the moment but hopefully it’ll make it to commercial eventually)

Ha is this even possible??! I quite like the sportline one anyway and for the few seconds it’s displayed it’ll do me. I had a Kenwood upgrade in my last head unit that you could load custom images too and I just ended up with the standard “welcome to Skoda navigation” one..... boring but it looked the part!

MIB toolbox :D

I have a Bentley Breitling and TAG Heuer clock faces on my car using it.

Yep MIB toolbox, I just need to get better at graphic design to do something cool with it!

does MIB toolbox work on MIB2 Amundsen? I did know it was only for columbus 2.0 and superior

Pretty sure MIB2 toolbox only supports MIB2 high, aka the Columbus or discover pro.

People have asked for Amundsen/discover media but the developer doesn't have a device to test or time to add 😟
