No paint code sticker in VRS

Featured Replies

Hi - sorry if it's been asked already and I've had a quick look in the forum but my 2018 VRS appears to not have the sticker in the boot with the paint code et et? I've looked in the boot and have had the whole foam insert out but nothing.

Is it somewhere else on the car please?

Thanks,

Sean

Sometimes found at the bottom of the driver's side door pillar.

Thanks - just a wee black and white Skoda sticker there with some weights on it. Maybe it's electronically tied to the VIN code 🤔 I've come from a 2003 Leon cupra to a 2018 VRS and expected to see said boot label

Ah thanks, never manage to find mine in the boot, I'll take a look. Should be simple as its white, but there are 2 white's listed.

yes - mine's a black metallic one but I want to get the right code (assuming there's only one black)...!

Black Magic paint code is LF9R

The door post label. Any of these refer to paint?

Anyone know if a VRS is going to be Candy white or Moon white please?

Well the Candy White paint code from my 2015 car is F9E.

The Moon White seems to be S9R, there's also a Laser White F9F it seems.

Nothing on that badge looks like any of those paint codes unfortunately.

Now give your VIN number to your local dealer and they'll be able to order the correct paint for you.

isn't it on the label in the boot? use one of the code finders and it should tell you everything to do with the car.

^^^ Yes if there is a label, but as the thread title & the OP says, there is not one.

There's usually a second PR code label on the inside cover of the original owners manual.

Candy is flat non metallic, basic white

Moon is a metallic pearlescent white with flakes in it

Mine looks flat white in that case I'm going with Candy.

A revelation - I got a small touch up bottle with the car and it has a code on it - F9E, so that's it for me. (Sorry* for the thread Hijack)

* Not Sorry. :)

@PetrolDave

The Sticker was usually inside the cover of 'Service Books',  when they were issued.

I have never seen them in the cover of an Owners Manual.

My 2015 Elegance didn't come with a service book, but the PR code sticker is inside the owners manual.

I’m in the same boat.

......I've mislaid one's glasses.

I'm sure if you asked a dealer and gave them your VIN, they'd be able to tell you

I had the same problem with my recent purchase no sticker anywhere in the car, for checking the paint code. However my mums fabia surprise surprise a sticker in the boot.

The boot stickers were discontinued in late 2017.  All that data is now held only online . It can be downloaded from Skoda erWin (at a price).  These days there are too many PR codes to fit on a sticker anyway - my Octavia runs to 197 of them.  As stated above, if you give your reg or VIN to them, any Skoda dealer will be able to look up the paint code and order it for you.
