  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

I just hope that this estimation is only for those who are ordering now, and hopefully company is targeting to finish the current orders earlier

I hope so too, but till now they still said 11 weeks for new orders for a long time, but we are waiting more than 11 weeks. :)

Even this site moved waiting time for non hybrid Octavia to Q3/2023. Wtf? 😮

By the looks of those delivery estimates we should all order Arteon - it's the fastest delivery.
Crazy things happening with Octavia new orders and there's not much official info to explain the delays. My dealer told me months ago that no new orders are accepted for PHEV Octavia; then, about 1 or 2 months ago she told me that for unknown reasons there are big delays for TSI engines (non-PHEV). I remeber replying to her that this was "good news" for those ordering TDI's... 😉
However, I don't see similar delays for other VAG cars - at least on that web-site that seems to be quite accurate for the Octavia delays. The other "step-child" of the group (Seat & Cupra) has pretty decent delivery estimates for their cars; even PHEV has an estimation of about 10 months... So WTH???

then is only one thing what could be reason door panel's maybe

Got my VIN number today - but the car has a note that is waiting for missing parts - dealer says max 2 months.....

Did you check it somehow yourself or was this information from your dealer?

Also, who here is "Arhippa" from the excel? Would like to hear more about the dealer communication since we have almost similar situation.

The dealer gave me the information...

Actually they are not. My friend ordered a Citroen Berlingo in the middle of the 2021. He was give no information whatsoever. A month ago he got a call that they need to pay an extra 2000 EUR, the car MIGHT arrive by the end of the year, and they also said they can't guarantee with what options the car will arrive. It may arrive with the parking sensors or not, it may arrive with the revers camera or not, etc. Of course they canceled the order. After almost a year of waiting.

Hey everybody, after a long time of lurking I've decided to share my story here. I've read through the whole thread, and firstly I'd like to say I greatly sympathize with everybody who has been wronged by Škoda's unforgivable demeanor and gross penny-pinching.

I ordered an Octavia vRS 2.0 TSI (regular; not a wagon) with many options; a bit before September 21'. The initial quote by the dealership (Porsche Verovškova, SLO) was that the car might be built in week 44 or so; but the salesman clarified that it's probably an unreliable time frame.

The time frame in question passed (as did the year 2021), with no news until the whole Mlada Boleslav situation—at that point, the sales rep. informed me that my car was supposed to be built in March or so; but, of course, the fire and the war prevented this. Naturally.

In all this time, I was never contacted of their own volition, as it was always a response to my inquiry. In fact, I'd given up on even trying to contact them because I am fully aware that they will just serve me more verbal diarrhea insofar as them not having any information at all.

If this information helps anybody: I paid a deposit of around 30% for the car. I'd have to check my papers, but it was about 11k EUR.

I'm going to have to stick it out as I am not in a rush (so to speak) about getting the car. So in this case, my situation is not as bad as other people's. However, here are my main takeaways from this whole experience:

  • Never buying another car from Porsche Verovškova, ever. They make it seem like them not having any information is an excuse for customers to just hang about in the dark and wait for good news. In fact, you should almost be glad that you're privileged enough to have ordered a car. /s
  • Never buying another Škoda again. A company that behaves like this is not worthy of having a decent customer base; and I dearly hope it blows up in their face going forward. Cars aren't one-dollar toys, so they should stop acting like it's no big deal. Eat the cost of transferring/restarting/whatever the production like a normal company does, instead of crying on a giant pile of money whilst also crying about how hard it is to meet customer demand due to X, Y, and Z problems. How are other companies able to cope so much better? Zero respect for them, much the same as they obviously have for us.

Welcome 😉

Sorry about your situation, we are all in the same boat more or less. But I have to say I enjoyed reading your post, you got me at lurking 😊

Geez. If that's remotely accurate, I'd consider cancelling the Octavia and reorder a Cupra Leon (even though I don't like the dash on them!). It would be here before the Octavia.....

I ordered a car at the same dealer. I paid a deposit of 1/4 of the total price in good faith it would be delivered in 4 months as stipulated in the contract. When I realised that  delivery date would be beyond the initial 4 months, I decided to revoke the deposit, apart from the amount needed to guarantee the order. They refunded with no delay. My experience with the dealer is similar to yours; I ordered in the 2nd week of July 2021, and still, have zero info about the production/delivery.

there giving them away but can't get ours finished

Take your kids on on a tour and find our cars 😀 if you don't have kids borrow some

Dude, you can make them, before you will get your car. I am getting one next month, still no info about the car and I ordered the car few months before I made one. 🤣

So does anyone have any good news?

is there a possibility to tabulate what kind of delivery times people are seeing for particular models?

I ordered an IV SEL Estate in April 2022 and was told to expect delivery around same time in 2023. I don’t yet have a build date (not really surprising!)

i ordered my octavia vrs 4x4 diesel 200bhp estate.21 may 2021 and up to now on last up date due delivery is 8 july 2022,i will not be holding my breath.

Hmm...The dealer told my car is finished but waiting missing parts - but the app accepted the VIN number and it shows my car. I hope you both are correct :)
