Yeah I did ask.. When he said that the car has confirmed production date and he will get the VIN shortly...

But the majority of those are SE estates. There are only 2 vRSs.

 

 

Interesting the see the prices of stock cars.  The Silver vRS Estate is priced £8000 more than my Silver vRS Estate which i collected 4 months ago.  The stock one has the winter pack which mine doesn't, and mine has the DCC which was an expensive option.  A lot of profit for the dealer on that car!

Does anyone have any reliable info on which equipment is causing delays at the moment (TSI, panels, sensors, canton, rear camera, side assist,...)? I am thinking of cancelling some additional equipment with hopes of speeding up the production (it is now 10 months since order)

It's mostly the door panels. I think cancelling equipment won't speed up.

I believe that only affects RS models, since "normal" door panels have been in production since april i believe. Some have been leaving out headlight washers and door "curtains". Canton and parking assist are also one what dealers have been asking to leave out.

I read somewhere the remaining issue are matrix headlights but Skoda appears to be pushing to clear all MY22 queries and start MY23 from 1st of Jul. Many around were recently given a date of production 25th week (me including). Most cars ordered Aug-Dec 21.

The matrix lights are good but goes to waste with city people. When are those used when there are street lights all around the place.

I bet this is a customer cancellation order, where the dealer then charges the new inflated price. hang in there! I am in exactly the same boat but for a Kodiaq RS

My in september 21 ordered PHEV is build on April 20th, but since then still waiting for door panels. 

It's no RS.

Dealer told me chip shortage is almost over.

 Hey @GregB11x, I am expecting my Octavia 1.5 TSI Style with Matrix LED here in Slovenia as well and I have received VIN in middle of the March, until today I haven’t received any news. How far back did you get your VIN number?

 

Also, other guys who received VIN and now have deliveries confirmed please share how long was in between getting your VIN and actual delivery?

This is crazy you getting VINs and production dates, i ordered in august of 21, and still have zero information 🙈🙈🙈 i think this will be my first and last Skoda.

Contacted the dealer in the beginning of this week. No update, my 1,0 e-tec estate is still in production (since 3/2022). No VIN either.

In slovenia car for in stock are just with 1.5 TSI motor's manly.

So my 2.0 TSI 4x4 will be delivery max+ybe 2025 haha

I am pretty sure that when the VIN is assigned, and car still not entirely done they have a week to finish it or it goes to parking lot... And if it does, it will stay there for at least 3to6 months 🤦

I know you wont understand to this, but this is part of the official Škoda´s document, which was sent to all dealers in czech rep in 23th May. It says:

- from now on there will be a lack of door-panels in maximum of single pieces per week

-  finishing incompleted cars (without door-panels - these are cars that have a VIN and have not yet reached the customer, because they are parked for several months on different parking areas - gonna send you a few pics) is planned from KW 22/2022 and all incompleted cars will be delivered to the customers by end of the September.

- Door-panels marked as V1, V2 and V3 version are now avaiable, V4 (i found out, that V4 are door-panels for vRS) will be avaiable from KW 25/2022 - reality is, that small amount of door-pannels for vRS was made before this date.

😊😊 I try to restrain myself and check 3-4 times 😊. I have the VIN since 11/04 (or that’s when I checked with the dealer and he confirmed this status, could be it is even a bit longer), I asked for it last week to start checking.

So there is stiil an option that my car will in production this year and finish i have ordered Sportline and not VRS. But i have 2.0 Tsi 4x4

Might still be the door panels. There were many cars going on production beginning of the year before the door panel factory burned. 

To date, there is 17.000 incompleted Octavias on parking areas. New cars have priority in production, than the incompleded ones. In last 2 weeks they completed 1.282 incompleted ones.

Rules at Škoda factory must be something like this:

Let the people that are waiting for 12 months + wait some more time, in the meantime we should focus on 6 month old orders and finish them instead. 

Also when assembling the old ones from parking lots, take the newest orders first. Those who have their cars parked for months can wait a few months more 👍

Sad but true. If your car is already on parking lot, is all luck when it comes to you, because when the workers comes to finish some cars, they dont get one from middle of the parking lot which is parked there a much longer. They just finish the one on the edge. My dealer confirmed to me, that the cars are delivered to them from the parking areas completely randomly, regardless of the age of the order.
