  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

Guys one quick question. I know this is not the main subject here, but do you know if it is less comfortable with 18" rims in comparison to 17" on an ordinary (non RS) Octavia? Thinking of changing the rims in my order, because it looks like I still have alot of time till production? See, now it is on subject, just barely. :)

I ordered 18” Perseus, not tested yet due to obvious reasons 😉 Planning to buy 16 or 17 for winter though.

Sorry if this is a silly question everyone but regarding the VIN number, is this only given once the car has a build date / they’ve started building it?

Would be good to be able to get logged onto the Skoda app, even if only to torture myself a bit more…

VIN is given to a car just before production. Its like a serial number that the production is tied to.

MySkoda app will accept your VIN somewhere when your car is ready from production.

Of course less rubber is less comfy. I've got the 225/40/19 and i would not go for smaller. Have to admit though, that DCC helps alot.
For winter i have 225/45/18.

Update from the Leasing Company via their App this week.

Delivery pushed back to early January 2023.

Ordered November 2021. (Octavia vRS iV Estate, no options)

@P100HP Is your company sticking it out getting PHEV's then?

What sort of mileage a day do you do, and are you going to charge at home and get paid or at work?

Yes, they are sticking it out. One of my colleagues has an Audi A3 on order (ordered at the same time) and that's not expected until March 2023.

Daily mileage is mixed, anything from 60 miles a day to 250+ depending on location.

Work remotely and no word yet on their charging policy.

Not as good financially for them compared to getting BEV's for that sort of use.

Been waiting since July 21. So overjoyed to receive an email from the dealer today only to find it was them inviting me to their latest VIP event where I can claim a unique discount on a brand new car available.  I sent the email to my sales man and asked if I can use the discount code on my pending order. Also questioned how they can even offer discounts with orders pending over 1 year.

I then asked if they have any VRS in their limited available stock.  Clowns.

Info from Skoda trade union:

Then in the production of DQ 200 automatic transmissions in Vrchlabí
a limited production mode will be set in the second half of next week on assembly, machining, in the tempering room
and parts of the forge.

I read on the Czech forum this type of DSG transmission is used in 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI. Maybe also TDI with less than 110kw of power.

i did buy 18 rims Luxon original Škoda, just i can't tested it beause i don't have car yet ;( to tell you have are they on road

The smaller diameter rims will have tyres with higher walls, therefore comfort will be better as they literally absorb more energy (bumps!). 18” is generally a great compromise between comfort, looks/stance and handling. I personally find the vRS 19” totally acceptable for British roads.

Good to see some people getting cars. A couple of months back no one was getting anything. Disapointing that others are getting promised delivery dates pushed back.

Can I ask those who order or are waiting for a new MK4 Octavia to add their details to the spreadsheet and keep it up to date as it gives us the best and most honest picture we are likely to get, accepting it is just a small sample of those waiting. Thanks you all BRS

Any news on the unfinished cars?

The forum has indeed become more lively, with other questions and topics as well, not only rants in this thread 😉

@MaximusMeridiusDQ200,s in FWD cars with no more than 150 ps 250 Nm.  But they build more than 2,500 a day at full tilt and for the VW Group vehicles across the models.  ? Are there 1.6 TDI,s anymore?

There is no 1.6 TDI but there are 2 versions of 2.0 TDI, I think 115hp and 150hp.

Not with DQ200's, no 2.0 TSI or TDI use them.

They will be DQ381's quite likely. Wet Clutch.

Kodiaq 1.5 TSI's are DQ381's.

Ok. So those who ordered 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI can expect delays, but Skoda should just change the brand name to Delayed instead of changing Skoda logo. :D

Well maybe you could expect delays if they are not building as many for the Skoda's as well as the VW's, SEATs ands Audi's if Audis are still using them.

I thought DQ200's were going to be discontinued other than with the Mild Hybrids,

but then there is nothing else to use so the new Fabia Mk4 1.5 TSI is not a mild hybrid.

The DQ200-e's might get priority because VW Group needs to meet low Average Emissions in the EU and in the UK so need the electrified cars,

but then they need batteries, and that is an issue.

Sorry, no news about unfinished cars. Only about producing 4000 Octavias in a week and that everything runs fine on the assembly line. Except for that DQ200 transmission.

I asked the dealer about my car. He made some calls and said it should be produced in the next 2 months. I think this is just some bull he is being fed by importer or I am being fed by him or we are both getting fed with bull by importer or/and Skoda. Basically poo is flying everywhere so it doesn't really mather. :)
