  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

That was done on purposes to reduce number of variants. As far as I know, the the classic version without hybrid component comes with manual transmission only. If you order with DSG, you will always get eTec mild hybrid. This is why the engine has (eTec) in brackets - the type can be deducted from transmission.

By the way - whoever deleted "Transmission" column from the sheet - please don't do this.

Ah, so my mind is not completely gone! I was sure there was a transmission column, and recently I wasn't finding it...

On a different note:
a few minutes ago I received an update for the car. It got customs clearance for transport to the dealer (so it's already in Romania); no idea how much time that will take, given the trucks&drivers shortage.

Ok, I was suspecting that. It looks like they don't wanna give any firm dates for eTec cars.

The edit happened on September 14th and it screwed the table really bad. Now we can either revert to the version on Sept 13th and loose all changes since then or live with the fact that data is a mess now 😞

There's a lot of valuable information for analysis and it's simply not cool to delete data just like that.

Not sure if you added it back or if there are different sheets going around, but I still have the transmission column: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/17h4myLSMpZ3dohgDJX25mkOhKLbyepEaeEeYcA3AqFY/htmlview#

You sure its deleted? it was there for me just now. Someone may have just hidden some data.

Hey, soon it’s celebration time 🎉🥳

My Octy arrived at the dealers today so picking it up next week as soon as I get the finances sorted. I might take Friday off for to enjoy the full experience 😊

Looks like this little fella is finally getting his key (bought it even before I ordered the car 😊)

I picked mine up a couple of days ago. I'm enjoying it so far. Only real issues are a hesitant auto gearbox and slightly glitchy infotainment system. I hope all those of you who are still waiting receive some good news soon. 20220921_170058.thumb.jpg.ac275a65e2eaf0abea99fcf66063d805.jpg

Congrats to you too :) The only glitch mine has had so far is that start/stop doesn't work in the morning because I empty the battery each night studying the instructions 😂

Poslední nedokončená Octavia, které chyběly výplně dveří, zmizela z parkoviště - Aktuálně.cz (aktualne.cz)

Last incompleted Octavia (because of door panels) was completed in 8th September. So thats the good news. The bad is, they mention at the end of the article there are new problems with the missing parts.

Im in contact with one employee from Škoda and they still producing incompleted cars, mostly Kodiaq:

I changed the delivery to 05/10, the bankers sure have the need to control our money flow 🤪

Finally received some positive news today.   Been told my VRS  is ST30 which suposedly means it has left the factory and on its way to exit port of Emden.  Anyone know if that's legit and if so, rough time line for arrival to UK. Thanks . Ordered last Aug so I'm hoping sometime in October.

Mine took about 5 weeks from that point, but it kept changing status to delayed in transit. I suspect that was to do with the industrial action going on across all the German ports in August.

that’s all settled now, so ilI be optimistic and think you’ll be looking at anywhere between 2 and 4 weeks before you collect it, assuming all goes well!

I just updated the spreadsheet there with the order details and delivery date. There's some wild variations in delivery time in weeks. Mine is less than half of others. I'm wondering if Skoda are prioritising some countries or dealers as this is the second MK4 Octavia the family has ordered and achieved a VERY quick delivery (received a 1.5TSi style in Jan 2022 after ordering in Aug2021)

Is it just me being overly optimistic…. Or are there far more positive posts starting to appear with deliveries and delivery dates?

All I see is people who ordered after me getting cars and that is the case for 14 months now. 🤣 I am happy for you guys, keep posting positive news.

If my car is not made on week 43 at latest, as it stands now, I will probably go mental and cancel this ****ing order. 😮💨

We were also on the verge of cancelling but when we saw prices of used cars we decided to just stick it out. Now we are so thrilled with the car that we are glad we didn't cancel

I understand that, but you are one of the guys who ordered after me and already have the car. I assume that is because it is a manual with less equipment. I also understand waiting a year +- 1month which is like an average but 14 months later looking at around 16 months currently is crazy. Also I don't really care about the price, because I am not paying for it.

The only rule with Skoda is there is no rule. 😁

I think I ordered a car before you; it's with manual transmission and less additional equipment and still hasn't got it. The expected delivery for my order is mid-October; we will see. Mid-July 2021-> Mid-October 2022=> 15 months.

I recently talked to a car dealer, and he mentioned that one customer cancelled the order in May this year, and at the same time, another placed an order. And because the configuration of the second order was similar to the first cancelled one, the second customer got the car already in August this year. So the waiting period was only three months. And probably the higher price of this car also sped up the delivery 😀.

Here we go again:

"Since then, the company has been gradually completing the cars as deliveries with missing parts arrive from suppliers. "Now we have about 20K cars in the parking areas. Current critical parts include battery modules, electric brake boosters, battery trays or drives and wheel heads", Škoda Auto's head of communication Tomáš Kotera tells Aktuálně.cz. Now, according to unofficial information, the automaker is once again showing major shortfalls in the supply chain, so it is likely that the number of unfinished cars will increase again."
