Initial response from Skoda UK

'Thank you for getting in contact with me.

Whilst the repair the camera was fitted by a Skoda Approved Retailer if the fitment of the camera is causing issues with the vehicle, it would need to be addressed with the Retailer who performed this.

This would not be covered under the Manufacturers Warranty because this was not a factory fit option, nor is this standard equipment.

I would recommended that the diagnosis is undertaken and we can discuss next actions at that point.

Thank you for contacting ŠKODA UK.

Kind regards'

Spoke with them and they didn't realise the camera is a standard factory fit on the Edition.   ????????    They thought I had it fitted after I purchased it.  Doesn't inspire confidence. See what happens tomorrow.

Words fail me, truly scandalous………..

Obviously not on the Call Centre staff 'script'!

Sadly as this is an outsourced service, (Along with all the other VAG marques) anything out of the ordinary needs to be escalated!

What irritates me is the dogmatic responses from some of the operatives, whose familiarity with some Skoda features is sadly lacking!

I wonder if Skoda UK actually ever monitor the quality of Capita's 'customer service' ?

Private Eye refers to it as 'Crapita' :giggle:
