Actually its easy as when you are on a call on the dash screen phone menu is popped out. To hang up you just click once the right scrol. As Simple as it gets.

Doesnt work for me, i have to right scroll it to the phone part then click then right click to get a menu to hang up, too complicated, my ford had a answer button and a disconnect button. More of an issue for me as my life seems to be on the phone LOL, i will find a away.

Ok maybe. For sure apple car play has the same way as the built in phone app.

while i had android phone i also disliked the whole android auto connection. But i have to say car play is waaay better optimized and user friendly.

Had a chance to test it today. And you are right: its possible to disconnect by pressing right scroll wheel, even when making calls with Android Auto. Either I've missed it before - or there has been an update, since I last tried 😉
BTW Android Auto works fine for me. Most importantly, voice control understands my commands, even in Danish - which is far from what Laura does.

Resurrecting this.

How do you answer a call when the entire screen is displaying the reversing camera?

You concentrate on reversing 😉

Yes, that's sensible. Let me rephrase, how do you reject a call when the screen is full of reversing camera so you can focus on reversing?

Ignore the ringtone and wait for it to go the voicemail?

Press the right hand roller button on the steering wheel to answer an incoming call.

Does this apply equally if using CarPlay, AndroidAuto or generic Bluetooth connection?

Ah. Okay, I've seen the phone can brought into to right hand dial. I'll have to have a play now - thank you!

It's so annoying. On the Mk3 the scroll wheel was all powerful and you could scroll through recent calls which appeared right in front of your eyes on the dash display.

On another thread I was told the Mk 4 can't do this and you have to look at the screen. What a backward step...

But isn’t using Siri, or the android equivalent, a better option? Less looking at a display and less twiddling with a roller.

It's a valid point, and in fairness the voice recognition most of the time works fairly well. It's just (yet) another function I'm getting used to....6 months in...

Most times when you get a new car there's a few things different that you have to get used to...with the Mk4 about the only things the same as my old Mk3 are the wipers and indicators, everything else is vastly different, it's a lot to get used to.

Yep, a steep learning curve with the mk4. When I got mine I spent at least an hour sat in it with the manual, my iPhone and a mug of coffee.

Went through all the infotainment menu options in turn trying to work out what they did and how they did it. After a week while did the same to tweak settings that it thought I wanted but realised I’d set ‘sub-optimally’ (eg interior & ambient lighting).

As above, when the infotainment screen is otherwise engaged, you can answer or decline a call from the digi dash.

As an aside, I used to hate when maps dissappeared when I was on a call. With iOS26, this problem is no more.

Maby someone here can help.
