Spaceback replacement of air blending motor .

Featured Replies

Hi all, Has anyone succeeded in replacing the the air blending flap control actuator without removing the complete crash pad ?

MIne has gone faulty so I have managed to get it to the cold position and then disconnected it which is ok for the summer but I would like to renew it before the cold weather.  It is situated up to the right of the passengers knees and is quite awkward to even see it never mind replace it.

Any thoughts would be good.

Thanks.

I had a problem with mine making a clicking noise. Turns out the lower fixing was loose and preventing it from parking properly. I did look at removing/replacing it. The motor looks like it has 3 screw fixings holding a cage around it.  It’s a tight squeeze but I think it is removable without having to dismantle too much. You just need the glovebox out of the way which is simple enough to do.
