I just noticed on a German forum that there is another owner how is booked in for the same update, 5FMIB3OI1806, on 27th of July. Currently has a device part number ending with B and SW version 1668.

What is interesting is both the German owner and @VAGProfhad rev. B and 1668.
I do wonder if anyone with rev A would be able to get it too or if more work is required for rev A.

I booked my RS (mid November manuf. date) for the "June OCTAVIA upgrade" for next Tuesday. I'm currently on rev. C, sw version 1668. Hopefully this is the one that fixes my bluetooth and WAA issues.

I'll post an update next week.

Just picked up my RS and I'm still on software 1668 with device part number 5E3035816C, which tells me the magic update mentioned in this thread is not yet widely available. Better luck in 4kkm, when I'll take it in for an oil change.

Mines just gone in, got a loan superb IV, not a plug in so not happy but I can discuss the fuel situation with them once they update me tomorrow.

Of course android auto wireless worked straight away just to rub it in :crying:

Would anyone be kind enough to do a short video of their Octavia iv running android auto wirelessly, something that shows nothing connected to the USB sockets?

I'm not doubting anyone, I just want some evidence when I get told it doesn't work on any octavia.

An update on mine ..

Apparently, Skoda are adamant there's no wireless android auto in the MK4 Octavias, never has been and it's never been advertised.

I've got some research to do tonight, i need to find as much evidence as i can to prove otherwise.

Page 134.  Seems fairly clear to me there that it should be.

Absolutely and i've already showed my dealer that but, what they're saying is that the manual is irrelevant, they need to see an actual brochure that advertised it as an option.

Page 12, its their own brochure direct from the configurator.  Its advertised as a feature now for entry level SE cars.  This may prove an issue for me as I distinctly remember the brochure when I bought mine that it was AA via USB only, but if others are getting features like this enabled in updates then I damn sure want mine done too!

Mines an SE L which is annoying, it doesn't mention AA at all??

As far as the brochure goes, everything on the SE L is included as well as whats listed for the SE (unless this is upgraded then it will also state this).

I did think that, unfortunately they're new brochures though so i think i might have to admit defeat on this one. I've just found an old brochure and all it says is ...

> SMARTLINK (INCLUDES ANDROID AUTO & MIRRORLINK)

And effective from 3rd November 2020, which would apply to mine

ENTERTAINMENT AND COMMUNICATION

> VIRTUAL COCKPIT WITH 10.25" DISPLAY

> WIRELESS SMARTLINK FOR APPLE CARPLAY*

> SMARTLINK (INCLUDES ANDROID AUTO AND MIRRORLINK)

This is from the brochure that applied here in Australia when I bought my car back in May 2021.

And also, it does actually work in my car.

I guess it does actually show that the brochures are correct, they only advertised it as having wireless android auto once it was actually available.
