Round LED not blink driver side door

Featured Replies

I have a Skoda fabia mk2, can any one tell me why this driver side door led light isn't blinking, earlier it was blinking and what's the use of this light? Can we enable disable this with VCDS?

It shows when the alarm immobiliser is active.

Why?

How to check it's working or not? Because this LED isn't blinking from last coupe of months.

Can you start the car with a key blade that doesn't have an immobilser transponder in it? If yes, then the immobiliser isn't working, but if no then you may have a break in the door wire than powers the LED.

Ok, but it's really not very important so why worry.

No, if I tried to start the car with only key blade it's stopped and immobilizer icon flash in instrument cluster

Pretty much certain the issue is in the door wiring then.

I think it is an alarm set indication and not one for the immobiliser.

From memory the flash rate changes if the interior ultrasonic sensors are disabled using the B pillar switch.

The OP probably has a failed alarm unit back up battery & the alarm is not working hence the lack of flashing LED.

Our Fabia doesn't have an alarm at all, but does have the little flashing light when locked with the remote.  Is it maybe an indication of 'deadlocked'?

Possible fault in the lock unit with the wire or solder joint at pin 5 of the lock unit, or the earth wire/solder joint on pin 7.

Now explain why there would be a flashing LED on the driver's door of a car with no alarm system. And, indeed, why the LED only flashes when the engine is not running.

Ask me politely and I might consider your request :)

I changed the red led and issue resolved. So the LED was fused.

That's unusual.
