Also, if you shoot off too soon the other side ends up very disapointed

I know, just imagine if you'd bought a nice sports coup

Years a go I was sat at the lights, with 2 lanes in front of me and dead straight for about a mile. Sat next to me was a white Lambo Countach, giving it muchos revs. I was on a GSXR1100 and over the distance in front would beat the Lambo with ease.

Anyway, after much revving and edging forward, the lights changed and I gave it all that I could, afters a very few secs I glanced in my mirror only to see the Lambo finishing his left turn immediately at the lights........I gone well and truely done!!

Yeah everyone knows you should us an Sh at the start :P:rofl:

I admit I too occasionally play about. I generally go for the element of suprise, though, as mine is very understated . . . . for good reason as it's not very quick.

30-70 sprints in 3rd can be entertaining though. :)

The only time you should brag is in a slow car. I beat a Bedford van in my wife's 800cc Daewoo Matiz! Yeaaahhhh!!!

Or, like many drivers of flash cars (at least the Boxster and TT 225 drivers I know....), they'd never gone above about 3000rpm on part throttle and wouldn't know if they were fast or not!

I have noticed that, although personally I like a bit of :revs:

I completely agree. In ways I miss my J reg Citroen ZX 1.9 D (no turbo!)... It was great fun trying to get it going fast - when you did manage it (invariably revving the nuts off it) you just kept up with traffic!

I remember a classic tussle on a dual carriageway between Poole and Exeter, off a roundabout and uphill against an articulated lorry. It was neck and neck for a bit but my baby had the legs. People behind thought I was deliberatly trying to p!ss them off...

Summary - trying to get totally under powered cars going is great fun, and 99% of the time totally legal...!

i drive like a complete **** at times and take absolutely no baiting what so ever :)

and i'm proud of it :D

So i dropped the clutch and wheel spun ' date='i couldn't get traction .he got a better start than myself but at about 20yards after i got the revs up in 2nd i shot past him he and passenger looked a little shocked .especially as i think i had a little handicap .

I was towing a caravan ,i was well impressed. [/quote']

It is quite a good un......... made me pi$$ my sides

I'm quite happy to say bye bye to any tailgaters who sit on your bumper.

Have to say though.Pleased there are a few skoda track day people who spread the 'skodas are quick' word by doing the track days.

Seems to get spread around forums a lot better than road stories, often viewed as fiction even if true.No one on a BMW/Subaru/whatever forum or similar will ever concede their but was kicked by a skoda on a road:) .

So,keep on kicking **** on the track those that do.Always like to hear it:thumbup:

At times my puipls are allowed to feel the force to the max but MUST do safely and STAY within the speed limit..... Even funnier when someone get a ar**** kicking by a skoda AND a learner! A few of my learners like nothing better than maxing it at the start of the 60mph limit on a dual carriageway near us and just disappearing into the sunset!

Sounds mad but teaches great repect for the car and its power. Fuuny enough it also stops them shoing off generally in their own cars as they have seen what a real car can do and how under prepared thier cars.

Sorry, I was brought up to respect my elders too ;):P

My bragging story........

I beat a remapped Fabia VRS in a drag race - twice ;)

Why of course you did, you raced aerodynamic-unfriendly cars that have 120bhp less than you do.

;)

Its a bit like sex! you want it, have it - satisfied for a moment! And then want it again:rofl:

Or not.
