Retrofit bluetooth car kit (Octavia II)

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

I've had my car for a couple of years and I've been using an old Parrot CK3200 car kit, but I'm bored of getting complaints about the sound.

So what do I need & how do I retrofit the bluetooth audio to my car (Octavia Mk2 Scout)?

Thanks.

What radio do you have?
Generally you need a bluetooth module, wiring harness and microphone

Hi. The standard Bolero.

Looking at Ebay theres a harness and mic on there for about £50 but there are a range of bluetooth modules on there. Having done a search of Google (which returned loads of threads in this forum, that the forum search didn't bring up) the next big question is which module should I get.

Any advice?

Thanks

The modules are minefield, the basic starting point is if you have maxi-dot or not?

That's easy; no maxidot.
