2022 F1

Here we go.

All new aero rules, new tyre rules, budget cap, new drivers champ, and a likelyhood that the top 2 teams compromised their preparation whilst fighting for 2021 titles...

Could this finally be the kind of multi-team fight not seen for a decade or more.

I mean I'm hoping for something like 1982 without the tragedies, but there have been some great years since.

2012 started well - 7 different winners in the first 7 rounds...

Well some teams will be hoping to move forward. Alfa and Haas both did zero development on their 2021 cars, so should have a head start on the all-new ones.

If it's anything like 2009, maybe only a third of the teams will find the magic bullet in the new aero rules package, and its unlikely all would get the same performance out of it.ย

That could then give us a dominant team at the start of the season (like Brawn) but will current budgets allow the others to catch up? Every team must be hoping to be the Brawn GP of 2022. A small chance of another new champion?

Launch season somewhat disappointing, with no actual new cars seen at the launches.

So far Haas, RBR, and Aston have shown...nothing, except their new sponsors/colours on last year's FIA 2022 concept bodywork.

Keeping their cards close to the chest, in case they have found the magic bullet.

Strange to see Mercedes with the slowest engine๐Ÿ˜.

Marko has of course been crowing about poaching 50 staff from Mercedes F1 engine division...

Wow. What a start for Ferrari.

And after 2races Honda have had at least 4 drivetrain related retirements already.

And where did Marko poach his new drivetrain staff from? ;)ย

I wish CH4 would drop that idiot presenter Jones, he's embarrassing to listen to when he attempts to interview anyone, it was such a pleasure to have Lee McKenzie last time out in Saudi as lead presenter, she is a professional interviewer who knows the right questions to askย ย

Iโ€™ve never agreed with a post more! ย

ย

It seems though that Lee McKenzie is in demand for other sports and tv channels as well, so possibly doesnโ€™t want to (or canโ€™t) commit to 23 weeks all over the globe.

Regardless of who replaced Mr Jones, or in fact if he was just dropped I don't think there would be many complaints.

Some of the "jokes" on this week were cringe worthy, not funny and I'm left debating if he is deliberately trying to play the fool (who isn't funny) or is just the village idiot.

Next Problems.

ย

1. Local OAPs seem to return to court every day with a new attempt to block it.

ย

2. The track needs repairs before the F1 cars get out on it.

Tell the Snowbirds that you'll repair the road before P1.

Jos Verwifebeater is now bitching that Red Bull should have let Max win in Monaco.

ย

Well if his boy had actually driven faster and overtaken the Ferrari in second place maybe that could have happened?

ย

Even notorious race fixers like the Schumacher years Ferrari team would have had trouble getting another team's car out of the way.
