Breaking news PM and Chancellor getting fines!

So here's an incomplete record of his achievements; Brexit isn’t done, 180k Britons are dead, no 'protective ring' around care homes, infected sent into care homes, U turns too many to count including on the windfall tax, 40 hospitals aren’t built (in fact they redefined what constitutes a new hospital), life expectancy is falling, poverty is rife, food bank use is exponential, the NHS is on its knees, inequality is worse than ever and teens are being sent to Rwanda.

Precisely, who indeed could do a better job of destroying the conservative party from within?

Why not just say that in the first place then and save the hassle?

Short bio on Johnson. There's a longer one on All4 titled The Invention of Boris Johnson.

And another called Boris Johnson the Irrisistable Rise.

He survives to lead for a while more.

The waste of space that is the leader of the  opposition Sir Keir Starmer tells us how he would act.

Lets see if maybe he gets a FPN for breaking lockdown rules and is out on his ear before the month is out.

No need to stab him in the back, just 'Here is your hat now off you go and get back to working for a living'.

I did, it was the quoted text, the first line of the posting which was obscured by your red mist.

Indeed it was...   It was the first line of lol-lol's post that you quoted.

At least if he does Raynor goes as well.

Does she not only go if she gets a FPN?

She maybe actually did go on to do work after refreshments.

OT but

The buoyant Prime Minister should maybe be asked to give a hair follicle sample tomorrow just so we can see why he is as up as he appears to be.

Boris is unquestionably the best man for the job and it would be a travesty if he were not allowed to remain to complete what he has started.

That above is what I was replying to. Can you see how you muddied the waters? Perhaps be more clear in future.

Ooh that'd  be a shame if he does get one and goes and she doesn't...   It could happen though I guess.

FWIW I don't think Starmer' will be going anywhere but there is a separate topic running on that.

Some journos on Twitter saying there are likely to be a few resignations from Government tomorrow. We shall see.

Lots of Tories today Tweeting their support for Johnson and lots Tweeting their opposition. It's worth noting which ones have Tweeted neither support or opposition to Johnson of which Patel is one. Either way the Party is definitely divided and you have to wonder if 148 MPs are now unwhippable leaving Johnson not in command of the Party. Gone in six month or maybe fewer I think. Maybe even as soon as 23rd of June which would be ironic.

So over 41% of Tory MPs voted against BoJo.

The disgraced Tiverton MP voted too, wonder which way ?

So hopefully only 357 Con MPs by the end of the month and it needs to get down to about 320 as Sinn Fein is not taking up its seats despite being the largest party in NI.

With 138 Con MPs in very well paid ministerial positions, and an obligation to resign if they do not back Boris, then their votes could be counted on and of course John Penrose, a Con Minister Anti-corruption champion felt he could not longer work in the Bojo government and so resigned today.

So it will be interesting to see the numbers in the bi-elections later this month and then how things develop in the summer as the MPs go home and then return for the real cost of living crisis combined with the British population being more heavily taxed then for many a decade.

Give them enough rope.

So the un-named innocent until proven otherwise Tory MP that has been told to stay away from parliament must have had someone do a proxy vote for him.

I wonder if Boris voted that he had full confidence in himself.

I don't know if he had a vote but if he did, of course he voted for himself. He's a narcissist. To Johnson, Johnson's never to blame, there's always somebody to blame. It's always someone else's fault.

Interesting to hear from the Minister for the 19th Century Rees-Mogg today and then hearing what he had to say after May's VOC in 2019. Hypocrisy.

I may have to stop watching the news as I have sat viewing it with a blood pressure monitor on and watched my BP actually go up! Mogg is proof that David Icke was right.

Not so sure that Labour are trying to smear Sajid Javid MP over past tax matters in the UK, likely more Boris's special smear department is behind bringing back to others attention his previous dealings.

Actually Rish Sunak's department should be calling for serving member of parliaments and first and foremost members of the cabinets historic tax affairs to be investigated.

Start at the top with the Prime Ministers.

Javid had his massive annual bonuses paid in to offshore accounts but that is a grey area if he is solely a UK taxpayer.

More amoral than actually illegal like Cameron's Virgin Island account.

With UK inflation at 11% and savings rates around 1%  it is very tempting but one can get several times that abroad if one is OK to risk currency movements.

His tax affairs since in public office surely will stand up to scrutiny.  The man is not stupid. neither are his brothers.

Then any suggestion that a brother involved in the Partygate investigation would be anything other than professional and honest is just muck stirring.

But then Boris employs Dead Cat specialists and Muck Stirrers and is employed himself by media barons who divide and rule using those very tactics.

Boris will be beyond reproach as will his wife on investments, taxes in the UK and elsewhere. Well he should be.

This thread has veered into a Johnson complaints/implied wrongdoing thread, with a dash of other people thrown in.

I’d suggest steering it back towards the title of the thread.

I doubt anyone wants a political theories thread about any member of any party and if they do I’m sure the papers have something for them.

OK, I'll try and steer it back on course.

Boris Johnson is a liar. That's not a complaint or implied wrong doing nor is it a political theory. It's a [personal] statement of fact.

The country wouldn't be in the state it's in if it wasn't for liars like Johnson and those prepared to lie for him.

It's a simple request and you would expect the same if the labour leaders investigated thread went the way this thread has.

Regardless of peoples opinions, we've been here before, and threads are not to divert off into political tit for tat etc.

Maybe the thread's done. After all, it's not breaking news any more and the fines turned out to be the faint slap on the wrist that we all expected. He got away with it and showed that as a man and a leader, he has no honour or integrity and I can't think of anything lower for a human being who claims the top spot in government. You can close it if you think it's run its course
