They will though, well compensated by the Party or the Tax Payers.

Rats are fleeing a sinking ship or at least that is the impression.

A friend of mine with ties into the party via family commented to me that there are rumors that Hamza Yousaf's leadership bid is showing great gains amongst deceased party members.

Nothing slow about it.

Standing in for Peter Murrell is Michael Russell who had the job before Peter Murrell.

These were in Alex Salmond's wee gang way back in their early political careers and are really the SNP's issue.  The old guard, the cabal.

As to the 3 standing to be the Leader of the party now,

they are a real problem for the party, especially the one that the cabal thought they would just get the gig easily.

Members might well want to elect one of them into position but if the citizens in Scotland want them is a different matter.

I am not a fan of the Scottish Daily Express, but someone someplace sometimes has to be asking the questions or publishing figures,

and if they are not factually correct then they can be challenged on them.

Too many have not been asking questions, getting answers or putting out what they can find out.

I feel a little bit ill this morning waiting to hear this afternoon who will be the new SNP leader and first minister.

I dread it being any of the 3 and the only positive thing i can see is that if Kate Forbes gets to be the one, then the Scottish Greens can go back to just being what they are which is being out of touch with peoples need to use cars & other ICE vehicles to get them and goods about Scotland.

Not everyone can walk or cycle every place and Patrich Harvie MSP the Scottish Greens Joint Leader does not even go everyplace by Shanks Pony.

The Clown has got the gig.

Scotland can expect lots of foot in mouth from now from the First Minister until the next Holyrood General Election and him getting voted out of which ever constituency he stands in, where he is now or where he lives.

Here we go again.  I know the SNP are formed with the issue of getting independence for Scotland.   But before the new First Minister is even signed into the job the Scottish media is full of how it is Humza Yousaf,s priority to ask Westminster for a Referendum.       Stephen Flynn MP dealt well with Kay Burley this morning over Health in Scotland and other failings.     Health, education, policing, drug deaths etc etc are about people, employees, lack of employees, people's choice to work, not work, become an addict etc.   Scotland is pretty crap for many things, so like the rest of the UK there.      Tell it like it is, lots of crappy people in the UK who are not willing to work.   Let people who want to work come to the UK.

Kay needs to actually be a bit fairer minded on the Health Service in Scotland, is it really 'Worst than most' ?

Who are these other 'most'  England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

She needs to watch the news or read the papers and not her own news!

He's playing to the membership with that section 30 nonsense but also it's a big "don't look here, look there" ploy. Plenty of messes in Scotand and the NHS mess has his paw print all over it.

The card carrying cybernats will lap it up. Plenty of feral SNP member/supporters around.

The new Deputy First Minister is Shona Robison MSP, Ex Cabinet Secretary for Health, then Social Justice Secretary & Ex wife of Stewart Hosie MP.

The crazy pass the parcel of ministerial jobs within the clique just keeps going on.

There is such a limited pool of those with skills and abilities and then what they have is totally limited.

Too long for all of them in politics and never any actual business and commerce experience of earning a living by making money for employers or for themselves as self employed.

PS

Yes i know both Shona & Stewart and knew his brother and parents.

Friends of my parents.

Actually Dundee is a small place as is Scotland and nothing goes on without people knowing about it really if they are nosy.

The new First Minister's wife might not have time to be standing as a Councillor in Dundee at the next elections, maybe she can try for a seat as a MSP.

LOL @ the SNP's 'Dundee Mafia'.     The Dundee voters will possibly have the First Minister & Deputy First Minister lose their seats at the next election.

So finally the dossier goes from Police Scotland to the Crown Office.

Or, just a progress report has already been passed to the Crown Office but only at this time that information has been released to the press by whoever / Police Scotland Spokesperson.

...........

As it is a maybe more of a probe will be happening into Police Scotland and any previous probe

Easy to find many Senior Officers right now as the Scottish Police Federation are at Trump Turnberry Hotel Resort / Spa & Golf Resort having their annual get together.

First First Ministers questions in Holyrood today.

Suspended 5 times already because of outbursts / protesters in the Public Gallery.

They are clearing it.

So it is apparent so far that Humza Yousaf MSP is going to tell Douglas Ross MSP / MP exactly what he thinks as Douglas Ross tells him.

It has not got yet to the Scottish Labour Party Leader Anas Sarwar MSP saying anything yet, or the LibDem Leader or anyone else.

6 minutes ago, toot said:

Peter Murrell age 58 taken into police custody.   Breaking news.  Investigation regarding party funds I believe.  But just breaking.

Yep...   Remains to be seen what dodgyness they've been up to...   But the reasons for the snap resignations may become clear?

When Humza Yousaf MSP & FM dropped Keith Brown MSP from his cabinet he was the Deputy SNP leader.

I hope he still is as i could not find anything saying he left that position.

Many many Senior SNP member and politicians & Grandees and employees about, maybe all selectively 3 monkeys including the 14 employees in the SNP HQ.

As it is Peter Murrell has been  there for a long time since taking over from Michael Russell MSP who is the acting CEO.

He even had a business years back along with 2 SNP elected politicians that sold merchandise.

Surely a Show plate or if genuine gifted to the party and not bought by the party and an asset.

Many hands make light work when you have your 25 Kg bags to carry.

The Daily Fail said there were police with riot shields, well there is one that was taken out of the van.

Thinking they are above the law does seem to be a bit of a habit with all politicians.

But I don't think this will damage the SNP as much as the papers are trying to make out. Wee Nic was (rather ironically) head and shoulders above the opposition in terms of being a political operator. Now she's gone the playing field is a bit more level but Anas Sanwar and Doug Ross are about as threatening to the SNP as a pair of specially trained attack sheep. Yousaf might be completely useless but up against those two and with the backing of the SNP machine it's probably good enough to maintain the status quo. The core vote of the SNP would vote for them even if they were live streamed sacrificing children to the gods of independence on the top of Carlton Hill.

It would have been far more entertaining to see someone like Ruth Davidson go up against Yousaf.

Friend of mine has family links into the party (this sounds more and more like East Germany every day).
Listen out for stories about Jewelery bought with party funds, not sure if they were stored in the campervan or not 😁.
Apprently the story about the police delaying arrest until after the SNP election was totally true, they told me about it a week before the arrests happened.

I see some of the papers are already predicting Nic will be next for police interview.

That'll be the UNESCO job she was eyeing up in flames although a little bit of fraud didn't do Ursula von der Leyen any harm so far.

I still don't think it'll change much up here. Labour will make some gains, the Tories will make smaller gains but the SNP will still be #1. They might be a minority administration again though.

Things might change if the party is forced to fold due to the financial shenanigans but it sounds like they are already primed to reboot as the Scottish Independence Party.
