What kind of problems could it cause?

The reason that this did not work as it should be is because he came from 156. All versions starting from 27x can go to 324 without problems.

Fully aware of that, but it's worth remind people that updates can break their systems.

 

I have sent the correct update before now, for it to reveal a fault in the actual radio, and nothing could fix it.

That is with every update....system/device.

IIRC it was down to the internal ROM storage for the firmware.

Happened ages ago, and not worth me looking up on search, the only solution was to buy new/used radio.
