Software versions on recently delivered cars.

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just wondering, could you guys/gals, who have recently received your new Octavia, post info of with which software version your car was delivered?

Cheers,

Mika

1890 IIRC.

1900

Actually I think it's 1900, I'll check shortly.

I can confirm it is 1900.

In theory, those of us now on 1896.... should we receive an OTA update to 1900?

Remember that the version being talked about as 1896 or 1900 cannot be taken as being definitive for all the processor modules throughout the vehicle - do a VCDS or OBDeleven scan and you'll see how many different modules running different software there are in an Octavia 4!

Too right. I’m on 1896 but the last 2 or 3 ota updates in the last 2 weeks seem to have fixed my travel assist errors. Though occasionally I get the undertaking error again now, just once on a journey and then corrects itself after tapping the throttle.

Absolutely agree, but I was thinking that if everything was deployed OTA, then sooner or later the infotainment would be in line for an upgrade, so I'd expect to see this version change as well at some point.

My point is that stating the infotainment version is no help whatsoever in determining the software version of ANY of the very many other modules in the car, so is no help in determining the behaviour of other car systems such as ACC, etc.

Mine is at 1900, even though the car was manufactured on 14.06.2023. I thought that it would have come with the latest revision..

Picked up mine 3 weeks ago. 1900 was software version, or still is until tomorrow when service is updating it.

Got my car last week, it’s 1900. It crashed on day two so it’s already going into the dealer for an update (I’m aware I can do this myself but I want to register the fact it’s f*cked up already. Plus it has scratches on the boot lid🤦🏻‍♂️

Made 26th week - SW 1940

It more than likely received the dreaded update OTA like mine did and it went bonkers doing random restarts.

My Octavia is 70 plate and a 1st Edition. I just checked the software version and it was 1668! Perhaps that explains why the SOS is popping quite often and crashed a couple of time in the last few weeks. I've booked it in for the oil service and a software update in 2 weeks' time. Hopefully, it will solve some of the issues...
