My wheels are looking overdue a refurb, I'm toying with getting them painted Matt Imola Bronze 🤔 I appreciate it's just peoples opinions, and I get it's "your car do what you want" but thought I'd ask.

I think it’ll only work if you do the same with any other silver detailing. Like Cupra, with their copper detailing. And even then I’m not really convinced.

I think that is a lovely colour personally and would certainly be different.

 

On the example you’ve given the spokes are relatively thin so you should get a similar affect on the Xtremes albeit with the different spoke pattern.
 

I think if the spokes were much wider, as per the Mk IV vRS wheels, it’d be too much.

Cheers cookie, so I've got one for and one against 😂 damn, I'm genuinely still torn, I do think bronze suits black cars best, just unsure on the xtrems, and if I do it whether to go Satin or Matt finish 🤔

I love the bronze wheel look. Maybe I should be too old for it now, but it can be a cracking colour combination, especially on black.

I half keep considering it myself, but don't think it would go well with rally green

I think it's @Brimma who has a black Mk2 (I think) with gold livery that really looked the part 😎

Interesting. I have tried searching for pictures but only managed to find a couple poor quality ones.

I'll stick with the extremes until they undoubtedly start showing wear and weather damage. Then maybe look at something different.

Yeh it's been a nightmare finding pics, joined a few new groups lately and found some more, including these extremes, not the same colour of course but nice to find some other colors, mine should be getting done in the next few weeks so will keep you posted

As said before, won't to be everyone's taste, but I'm really happy with how they turned out 😄

Yeah , nothing wrong with the old John Player Special colours.  A little fine gold piping or decals along the bottom of the doors to tie things in. Will look great. Just don't make it too garish. Good luck.

Thanks, I've just changed all my badges to black, with an insert on the VI part of the VRS badges to match the wheels for now, been a busy day of small mods 😂 rear diffuser, gas struts for the bonnet, dynamic indicators, uprated puddle lights and a few other bits
